CB Album Reviews: June 28, 1969 (page 40)

Final live concerts of the Shane, Reynolds, and Stewart trio in July, 1966. Double album with sides 1 and 4 on disc 1, and sides 2 and 3 on disc 2. Inside the gatefold cover are 4 pages which I can't scan without damage to the cover.

I doubt that either Capitol or Decca had the rights to it anyway. Certainly not Capitol. Decca may have still had the group under contract but by that time , their 4th DECCA LP had been released ( Crickets!!!!! ) so they may have not wanted to issue it. Even though I don't respect him anymore, Bill Cosby thankfully put this out- at the same time as his own 2 LP 8:15- 12:15 double set.

Recorded live at the Sahara Tahoe, June 1-22, 1966. Both Capitol & Decca declined to release it, wasn't released until June, 1969.

Tracks B1, B4, D2 & D6 are not actual songs, but between-song bantering by John Stewart.

There's been a CD released called "Twice Upon A Time", containing previously unreleased additional recordings from these shows.
