I TOOK A PHOTO IN THE SUNLIGHT ABOUT 23 YRS AGO OF THE FIRST ISSUE OF THIS RARE DUO LABEL. IT WAS PRETTY BEAT UP I FOUND IT IN A THRIFT STORE IN DENVER COLORADO AROUND '77 WITH A NEW FULL DIMENSIONAL STEREO COVER TOTALLY TRASHED. I HAD TO SCAN THE PHOTO . I CAN'T FIND THE LP ANYMORE JUST THE TRASHED COVER WITH SEAM SPLITS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
There are many cover variations for Surfin' Safari. for the Duophonic the back slick has the border with Duophonic on it. the front slick has the full Dimensional Stereo with the blue border. and this is where the confusion happens. As you can see the duophonic back slick is normally used with the Mono front slick cover. However when the full Dimensional stereo front slick is used then you have a clash of opposing contradictions. one cover has it mostly covered, while another is promoting both
