Presented in a hand-crafted quarter-sawn oak cabinet with lush sage velvet upholstery and custom-forged metal hardware. This is a limited edition of 5000 copies.

The box set consists of:
* 6x 180g vinyl LPs pressed on burled chestnut coloured vinyl with hand-engraved, blind-embossed gold-leaf labels, housed in a laser-etched white birch LP folio
* 800 newly-remastered digital tracks, representing 172 artists housed on a custom designed metal USB stick designed to look like a Victrola pickup needle.
* 200+ fully-restored original 1920s ads and images
* 250 page deluxe large-format clothbound hardcover art book
* 360 page encyclopedia-style softcover field guide containing artist portraits and full Paramount discography
* All digital media is managed via Jobber-Luxe. a custom music and image player app.

This is Volume 1 of a 2 volume set covering the years 1917-1927.

sladesounds ● 17th Dec 2013		Ok this retails at $400.00 and to order and get it to the UK cost me £380.00 with shipping and custom fees. Worth the money? Well look at what you are getting. To start with it is big, this complete package weighs in at 25lbs. The box is solid oak measuring 16" x 18" x 6". All the fittings on the box are solid metal including the badge on the front. If you haven't realised the design is based on a 78rpm player made by the furniture part of the Paramount company. The 6 albums are heavyweight vinyl housed in a white birch LP folio. The folio, front, spine, back is crafted from one piece of birch and has been embossed/burned by hand. And the music! Nearly 100 years old and sounding wonderful considering they have come from 78rpm recordings. The USB player housed in the box contains 800+ tracks from the Paramount label, loads of scans and tons of information regarding the recordings. The Jobber-Luxe software that plays them is top rated too or you can use your own mp3 player. Chuck in a hardback book and a "field guide" along with some reproduction music sheets and adverts. Having paid around £300 last year for the Beatles Vinyl Box Set this IMHO is worth the money. It is a wonderful thing to own and look at, a piece of art in it's own right.
