Notes

Side A continues with track 11 - Homeward Bound

Alternate title (prominent on L.P. front sleeve): Sun of My Soul

Other markings
A) MG 200,836
B) MG 200,837

A "home-made" L.P. courtesy of Saint Marks School with pressing arranged by Trans Radio, Boston, Mass.

Octet are listed as Octet 1966 on the L.P. cover and as The Octet '66 on the L.P. rear sleeve!

This L.P. is highly sought after for the Rasputin and the Monks side, which consists of classic 1966 Invasion-inspired sock-hop rockers in typical amateurish gymnasium-rock fashion common on prep school L.P.'s of this era. The Octet (aka Octet 1966 and The Octet '66) has, to date, not attracted similar attention from said collectors of teen-beat (or garage) type recordings.

There was also a cross membership between some of the players in The Octet and Rasputin and the Monks.

Side 2 of the L.P. was bootlegged/re-issued as a one-sided L.P. in the early 1980's without any reference whatsoever to its source or mention of the Octet '66.
