Dialogue & Songs From the original soundtracks of selected Hal Roach films -- including -- Way Out West, County Hospital, Beau Hunks and Sons of the Desert
In the U.S., George Garabedian's Mark56 label had the "rights" to anything L&H regarding all this. In this same year, they put out the soundtracks to Way Out West which brought forth their big UK hit "The Trail Of The Lonesome Pine," and Sons Of The Desert that had yielded that song's B side, "Honolulu Baby." I noticed in the inner jacket, Garabedian was noticeably absent from the special thanks.
The Garabedian entanglement may explain why this was the only "Golden Age" UA album not to have had a U.S. release, unlike The Golden Age Of The Hollywood Musical (UA-LA215-H, UK ish UAG 29421) or Hooray For Hollywood (UA-LA361-H, UK ish UAG 29644).
