Vinyl Album
Notes This disc of 33.33 rpm, which is the second disc of the United Artists 30000 catalog # system, concerns a jazz musician named Hal Schaefer who utilized the name Whelan Tyme while he recorded this LP of boogie woogie tunes. The other artists were drummer Osie Johnson, bass player Chet Amsterdam, Count Basie and Freddie Green. Though the front jacket image displays eight ladies who stand at a liquor bar, all the tune titles are either of female names or are about females. Despite the fact that this disc did not sell well, this disc so hard to find that many record collectors will pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars just to own this disc of boogie woogie piano music.
