Notes

Although Michele Giovanni (Jimmy) Roselli sings many Italian songs and is believed to be from Napoli, he actually was born and reared in Hoboken, NJ. Sadly, Mr. Roselli had a sad childhood due to the fact that his mother died when he was two years of age and his father had abandoned him. Thankfully, Mr. Roselli had been cared for by various aunts and his paternal grandfather who spoke no English.

After Mr. Roselli had finished his armed forces duty during the Second World War, he came back to Hoboken where he got married and performed construction work and was a pianist in the evening hours. Mr. Roselli's first occasion in the music business occurred when Michele Coppola had paired him with Giacomo Durante at the Boston Latin Quarter.

Showcase: Jimmy Roselli, which was the first disc of 33.33 rpm that he recorded was a multi-million dollar seller, which contained the tune Mala Femmina, which was issued by means of the Lenox disc of 45 rpm, and was a big success in the New York City and New Haven areas. The only tune of Mr. Roselli that had reached the Billboard hit parade of discs of 45 rpm was There Must Be A Way, which was a tune that was popularized by Joni James in 1959.
