Notes

This was the first professional musical group in which Billy Joel had performed from 1967 to 1969. The five group members consisted of Richard McKenna, Jon Dizek, Jon Small, Howard Blauvelt and William "Billy Joe" Joel. Even though the group members composed some of the tunes of this disc, they did a wonderful job at making some of the easy listening tunes, such as A Taste Of Honey and Giving Up, a psychedelic rock sound.
This group recorded seven tunes, of which were I'll Be Around, When I Get Home, It's Not Enough, Love Luck, Look And You Will Find, Blow My Mind and Giving Up (the Hassles recording not issued by means of the self-titled disc that was issued in 1968) in May 1967. These seven tunes were unaviable until they were issued by means of bonus tracks of the CD rendition of the Hassles self-titled stereofonic disc. Even though the CD rendition of the ten Hassles tunes were stereophonically issued, the seven unreleased tunes were monaurally issued due to the fact that these songs had no stereo counterparts. The only tune of the CD rendition of this disc that was not issued by means of the original disc of 33 rpm, but was available by means of a disc of 45 rpm was I'm Thinkin', which was of the b-side of You've Got Me Hummin'. The two other tunes that were issued by means of a disc of 45 rpm were Every Step I Take (Every Move I Make) and I Hear Voices. Both these two tunes were issued by means of United Artists UA-50258.
Warming Up is the best opening song due to the fact that this tune is strumental and almost flows directly to Just Holding On.
