This disc of 33.33 rpm concerns a reknowned pianist named Randy Weston and his six band members, who are Johnny Griffin (tenor saxophonist), Ray Copeland who plays trumpet by means of all but one tune of this disc, Melba Liston (trombonist), George Joyner (bassist), Charlie Persip (drummer) and Idrees Sulieman who plays the trumpet by means of only one tune which is called Babe's Blues.

Mr. Weston had composed all the tunes of this disc, in honor of his two children whose names were Niles and Pamela. Two tunes contain the names of Mr. Weston's children and one tune contains the name Susan who was a close friend of Pamela.
