In 1978, Connie Francis signed to record an album for the British arm of United Artists Records. In the nine years since her final LP for MGM, the London-recorded SONGS OF LES REED, her output of new material had consisted of four German tracks issued on two Polydor singles (1970); an independent coupling for the Stateside Ivanhoe Records (1971); another for GSF (1973); a few overdubs to original MGM Records tracks, and a further self-produced coupling (POLYDOR 2066 881 LET'S GO WHERE THE GOOD TIMES GO/BURNING BRIDGES), which was exclusively released in Britain. Although her association with U.A. was brief, and called for one album, with an option on a second; it nevertheless resulted in her most prolific output of the past 25 years at the time. Her 26 April - 28 May 1978 London sessions produced 14 English titles, of which 12 were released on her only British album for the label, WHO'S HAPPY NOW?, but these subsequently spawned German and Spanish LP adaptations, and a number of tracks sung in French, Italian and Japanese. At the time of these recordings, United Artists Records was a division of the Transamerica Corporation, who shortly after sold the label to EMI Records, themselves the subject of a subsequent takeover by the British company Thorn Electric.

This entry showcases the officially released edition. Sleeve depicts the name "Connie Francis" in WHITE flowing letters, and song listing on liner amended and "matched" in liner notes. The amended title, however, again features an error, albeit of a lesser nature. The correct song listing of B5 should read WHAT HAVE I GOT, I GOT YOU BABE.
