Neil Forbes 28th Jul 2015		Think of the Vertigo label rotating at 16(and two-thirds) RPM.... It'd take much longer to be hypnotised! Ha-ha!



Record Collector 28th Jul 2015		Actually the sound is much improved but it would feel weird watching a record played at that speed



Neil Forbes 28th Jul 2015		At such a slow playing speed the sound quality wouldn't have been too "flash". As with tape, a slow speed's okay for spoken word content, but until the advent of Dolby NR and CrO2 tape, 1.875i.p.s.(that's decimal for 1 & 7/8 i.p.s.), a cassette would not be good for much beyond dictating a letter for your secretary to type out(if you had a secretary, that is).
