Peter Schickele is a composer and musical educator who is best known for his musical comedy albums, most notably the musical pieces that were composed by the fictional character composer P. D. Q. Bach.

Mr. Schickele had created this character while he was a musical school student. He rendered a humurous fictional biography of P. D. Q. Bach, who was the "twenty-first and final born" of the other twenty children of Johann Sebastian and Anna Magdalena Bach the 1 April 1742 in Leipzig and had died the 5 May 1807. Oddly, the birth and death years are usually listed on album literature in reverse, that is "(1807-1742)?"

The works of Mr. Schickele which had attributed to P. D. Q. (pretty darn quick), often incorporate comical rearrangements of well-known works of various composers, such as the bagpipes, slide whistle, kazoo and fictional instruments such as the pastafone (made of uncooked manicotti, the tromboon (a whirly tube), the hardart thru which plucked strings, blown whistles and popped balloons produce each note in its proper range and the left-handed sewer flute.

Though this LP disc did not sell well, it was an inspiration thru which later composers of humorous fictional music comedy were able to establish a band that led to the start of the Saturday Night Live television program.

This was the final disc of 33.33 rpm of Mr. Schickele that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued.
