ppint. 17th Sep 2018		chrisb: not really strange, or even odd: the ws-prefixed cat#ed stock of sleeves printed prior to the shift to the kinney distribution centre and computer ran out° or was replaced with new k-prefixed cat#ed sleeves before stock of the pressed-with-ws-prefixed cat#ed labels vinyl ran out. ° - some ws-prefixed cat#ed sleeves were stickered with white sticky labels bearing the new k-prefixed cat#s printed on them in black, for some of the stock being transferred to the new computer & the distribution centre, for some titles - whether this was done for all back catalogue titles in stock°°, or for all of the current month's releases, or both, yr hmbl srppnt. knoweth not. °° - it'd've been simpler and quicker to triage the back catalogue after shifting it all to the new computer system & the new distribution centre, but i don't know if this is what was done; it would've taken up more space in the new facility, to begin with - but they should've had plenty of room to do it in: *failing* to give each and every item an k-system computer number as - or before - it entered the new facility would've required running the two catalogue systems side-by-side simultaneously on the computer - or risked losing some stock inside the building - potentially, *forever*. . .



chrisb 13th Aug 2016		Added labels. Bought this in '72 or '73. Would this be the original mix? Strangely, my record came in the sleeve for K 46021.
