Notes Recorded live at the Nippon Budokan Hall, Tokyo, on 21 November 1976. The World Popular Song Festival, sponsored by the Yamaha Music Foundation, began in 1970. Reaching the finals of the 7th festival in 1976 were 45 songs selected from 57 countries, the largest number of entries in the history of the festival. Of these, two Grand Prix winning songs were selected - Goodbye Morning from Japan, and Ammore Mio, an entry from Italy. This collection presents both Grand Prix winners, along with 11 other winning compositions. Each is complemented by an introduction by the Masters of Ceremonies at the festival.
