Perhaps the cat# here should be ZL 219 as it appears here. Phil is right to point out the new success of the singer Ross Wilson as a front man for Mondo Rock in the early 80's is probably what initiated this re-release. The other entry on the site here is the original 1976 release and that and this reissue probably need to be merged as they have the same cat#, copyright details and label. The covers, however, are wildly different. Same or different?

I have a double album set released through music for pleasure called the daddy cool story when you look at the track listing it looks like a best of compilation but it's really their first two albums daddy who daddy cool and sex, dope and rock and roll

I'm surprised that this took a while to chart! All I can think of is that Wizard perhaps re-promoted the album to cash in on Ross Wilson's success with Mondo Rock, whose run of big hits started in November 1980 with "State Of The Heart".

You rang, sir? I can tell you that this is listed in the May 1979 AMSCAT as distributed by PolyGram (most of whose pressings were done by CBS, I think, and I don't see any characteristic CBS "MX" matrices on this), and then in the May 1980 and August 1980 issues as distributed by RCA, who I think had closed their own factory by the end of 1979 and then were pressed by EMI - the above do look like EMI typefaces to me at first glance. The album entered the top 100 chart on 14 September 1981 and spent 10 weeks on the chart, peaking at no. 52.

This one is most likely an early 80's repress but I can't nail it down, where's Phil?
