 Who are the mysterious Crossbrakers?
This album is partly identical with the 1964 US album „The Beetle Beat“ by The Buggs.
However, due to the fact that most song titles on the Buggs’ LP are merely ficticious,
the actual song titles differ. Who would imagine that The Buggs’ Soho March is, in fact, the
Doris Troy title Just One Look, successfully covered by The Hollies? Finally, to complete the
confusion, two songs of The Buggs’ and The Crossbrakers’ albums (You Got Me Bugged and
Sassy Sue) were also released as by The Pacers on a single 45 on Coral Records
https://www.45cat.com/record/62398

Here is a list of those songs that are identical on The Buggs’ and The Crossbrakers’ albums.
A2 The Crossbrakers, You Got Me Bugged = The Buggs, Mersey Mercy = The Pacers, You
Got Me Bugged
A3 The Crossbrakers, Just One Look = The Buggs, Soho March
A4 The Crossbrakers, Why Can’t You Love The Boy = The Buggs, London Town Swing
A5 The Crossbrakers, Sassy Sue = The Buggs, Big Ben Hop = The Pacers, Sassy Sue
B2 The Crossbrakers, Why Won’t You Leave That Man = The Buggs, Liverpool Drag
On the Crossbrakers’ album there are no equivalents to The Buggs’ I Want To Hold Your
Hand, She Loves You, Swingin’ Thames, and Teddy Boy Stomp.
On the other hand, not to be found on The Buggs’ album are Wooly Bully, Come With Me,
Take A Chance, I Just Can’t Take It, and You Were Made For Me.
