Edmond Hall - BiographyEdmond Hall was a reknowned jazz clarinetest who started professionally playing in the late 1920s. He has collaborated with reknowned jazz musicians, such as Louie Armstrong, Billie Holliday and Teddy Wilson. Almost six months after Mr. Hall departed from the All stars in June 1958, he recorded this disc of 33.33 rpm in December 1958 with his own sextet that included trombonist Vic Dickenson simply because he was tired of consistently playing the same types of jazz music and he could no longer deal with the ultra-busy schedule that Louie Armstrong followed. Now that Edmond Hall had complete control of recording an LP that he wanted to accomplish, he rejoined his original sextet band members. The quartet band members, who contributed to this disc, had consisted of clarinetist Edmond Hall, pianist Ellis Larkins, drummer Jimmy Crawford and bassl player Milt Hinton. The two musicians that played with the Ed Hall sextet, but did not play with the Ed Hall quarted, were trumpet player Emmett Berry and trombonist Vic Dickenson. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
