El Coco - BiographyEl Coco was a faceless disco group, an alias of producers Laurin Rinder & W. Michael Lewis, created in 1975 to cash in on the rise of disco. With Rinder & Lewis basically playing all the instruments themselves and various session singers doing the vocals, there was no actual group. Signed to AVI Records, El Coco - a thinly veiled reference to cocaine - turned out several club hits over the next years, including "Let's Get It Together", "I'm Mad As Hell", "Dancing in Paradise" and the non-album 12" "Love Exciter" 1979 before the disco backlash ventured. A few further LPs in the early 80s were no longer successfull, and Rinder & Lewis began concentrating on different projects. While Rinder began painting, Lewis continues as a session musician and producer to this day. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
