The Chicks - BiographyThe Chicks were singing sisters Suzanne and Judy Donaldson, from Henderson, in Auckland, although they were born in Wellington. At a barbecue they met Ron Dalton, owner of Viking Records, who signed them and sent them on a package tour with Sandie Shaw, the Pretty Things and Eden Kane. They toured regularly in the sixties and were favourites on New Zealand television, as well as enjoying a run of hit singles. They made two albums for Viking and two for Polygram as well as releasing EPs and two compilations - all while still in their teens. In 1970, the sisters split up but Sue stayed in the music business and enjoyed a very successful solo career as Suzanne which included a run of hit singles and albums in New Zealand and a stint singing in Cat Stevens' band. She was also signed to Ringo Starr's Ring O Records. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
