Bodston SUBS 16th Aug 2018		12" Single Mint Juleps - Docklands (1987)	The A side is the 12" version timing at 5.22 Matrix BUYDJ 264 A-1U-1- 1 B side times at 3.53 Matrix BUYDJ 264 B-1U-1-1 The record remained unreleased until 2013 when it was included in the US Record Store Day, 'Ten Big Stiffs' box set released by Razor & Tie.

Bodston SUBS 14th Aug 2013		12" Single Dr. Feelgood - Crash Your Car Megamix (1987)	Very rare proof sleeve made for a single that never got released on vinyl. Very un-PC, Car crashes are probably not the greatest way to flog singles! Sam Fox picture appears on the reverse. Unusual for this era for the playing speed to be listed as 33rpm, but the track is about 15 mins long! Maybe this was privately made without much Stiff involvement? Stiff Records does not appear anywhere on the sleeve neither does the Cat#. The Cat# CRASH 1 is taken from the very limited cassette only release of the megamix. The B side 'Big Enough' appears as the B side to BUY 259. The megamix is available as a bonus track on the CD reissue of the Dr. Feelgood 'Classic' album.

Bodston SUBS 29th May 2013		12" Single Blondie - Rapture (Special Disco Mix) (1981)	Looking at the rest of the UK Chrysalis catalogue, it seems that this style of label with the band name on the left side came in sometime in 1983. Maybe the paper label version is a later reissue?

Bodston SUBS 14th May 2013		12" Single Nick Lowe - Bowi (1977)	No mystery, just bloody rare. A promo sent out to the usual 'great and good' of the music press. Presumably made possible (if the the WLTP is anything to go by) by gaining access to the mighty resources of Island records with whom Stiff had just renegotiated a distribution deal. I snapped it up on eBay. Not cheap.

Bodston SUBS 20th Mar 2013		12" Single Tubes - White Punks On Dope (1977)	I think it was pure luck to be honest. I just put a large sheet of white paper on the floor near a window and laid the record on it. Framed the shot on the camera trying to keep it square to the sides leaving a gap so that I could straighten it later on the computer. I use a Mac and don't have any picture editing software other than iPhoto and Preview both of which are pre-loaded and basic programs. I use iPhoto to 'straighten' the image and Preview to crop it to a square and resize it. I was pleased how well it turned out and how easy it was.
Bodston SUBS 20th Mar 2013		12" Single Tubes - White Punks On Dope (1977)	Those scans were so offensive. I photographed the sleeve instead. Much better! Also I realised that I wasted £149 on an A3 scanner when my mobile phone camera does a perfectly good job.

Bodston SUBS 26th Feb 2013		12" Single King Kurt - Billy (1985)	Thanks to psychodave1 who pointed out Quote: Double grooved - "Back On The Dole" plays as either studio version or live depending on which groove the needle lands in. which I had forgotten. Having played it 'Alchoholic Rat' is a different version too depending on which groove you are in.

The stock copy A side I have is 12 WIP 6940 A - 3U It also has a Chad figure (The chap peeping over the wall) and "GNIK ETEP WAS HERE" scratched on. The B side is 12 WIP 6490 B - 2U with a scratched "SOUND CLINIC" Gnik Etep is of course Pete King backwards.
