Lanark 17th Jul 2013		12" Single Captain Beefheart And The Magic Band - Light Reflected Off The Oceands Of The Moon (1982)	The Beefheart/ Magic Band identity crisis continued on this, his last single release. Sleeve says "Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band" and the label says "Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band".
Lanark 26th Jun 2013		12" Single Joy Division - Transmission (1980)	If the image in the centre of the sleeve is embossed then it is a 9 December 1980 issue (ie. first 12" issue). The 1981 re-issue had flat sleeves with no embossed images. I also think the font on the labels looks slightly bolder on the 1981 re-issue.

Lanark 16th Feb 2013		12" Single Joy Division - Transmission (1980)	The 12" was released by Factory in the UK at the end of 1980. December I think. I loved JD and had all their records (still do). I didn't buy it. I liked my textured 7" sleeve and thought the re-issue on 12" was a bit of a Factory re-formatting, cash-in on IC's death. I recall the NME reviewing the 12" re-formatting, cash-in release and calling it something like "the saddest record released this week" or words to that effect. The YT clip is a cracker and I remember watching it on TV when it was first broadcast. I still... "Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance To The Radio!"
