nboldock 8th Aug 2014		12" Single All About Eve - Road To Your Soul (1989)	It's usually indicative of a multi-country release (not necessarily ALL European countries of course) but if there's one thing we have learned on these Worlds, is that nothing is a hard and fast rule when it comes to record companies! :-D
nboldock 7th Aug 2014		12" Single All About Eve - Road To Your Soul (1989)	Technically, it ought to be a new entry, if only so people can find both on a search (otherwise somebody will undoubtedly add it again later in the day). So I'd say yes. If you want to enter it, give us a shout when it's done and we can move the images over. Also, I'd say both are "European" rather than UK, as there is a UK catalogue number and a separate international one shown on the rear sleeve.
nboldock 5th Aug 2014		12" Single The Warren - The Landlord Comes Out Best	The Warren is a youth community centre in Hull - I don't know much about this record other than it was released as a fundraiser, but I'm sure there was no band (as such) called "The Warren" and that they probably existed only for the purposes of this record. It's undated but I suspect late 80s or thereabouts (I will try and find out). Note the telephone number is pre-1990. The Warren has faced financial difficulties many times over the years and sadly in 2014 they are once again struggling - efforts are underway as I type to raise money, once again, to keep it open. It is a valued and much-loved resource for young people in Hull (18-25 I believe). It is also the home of the Warren Records label [link goes to CD Album World]. Music wise this isn't a bad record. The A side is a bit "Simple Minds" for my tastes but I really like the B side, which puts me in mind of The Mission on one of their good days. Decent.

Can't seem to get a decent pic of the front sleeve, for some reason it keeps coming out overly bright and I can't get it fixed to the right contrast etc. I'll have to scan n stitch with it but for now here's the back cover anyhoo.

Not sure about the label but the regular release was on Pogue Mahone (via WEA) so gone with that. Will scan the labels in shortly (actually, only one, as both sides are identical).

Let's leave it as UK until someone can verify it was also released elsewhere at the same time. It's quite possible that it was but we would need confirmation... anyone?

nboldock 10th Dec 2013		12" Single Graham Parker And The Rumour - The Pink Parker (1978)	Most coloured vinyl scans fine, but fluorescent/dayglo vinyl (and some translucent colours as well) does seem to fool the scanners somewhat and usually comes out a completely different colour! I assume it is caused by the fact that the scanner, by necessity, is shining a very bright light against the record as it scans. Not sure anyone has come up with a solution other than taking a photo instead.
