Video Game
Elite - Acornsoft
I loved Elite, there was so much packed into the game that you could easily spend hours and not get bored. Docking took a little bit of practice but once you mastered the skill then it really was quite easy and you could dock quite quickly, [and if I remember correctly there may have been an upgrade for auto-docking that you purchased during your intergalactic trading].
Anyway that was the thing, you started with a really basic spacecraft and through your trading you built up the spacecraft into something that was much more powerful. You could buy 'fuel scoops' which allowed you to refuel your exhausted engines by flying close to the sun, thus eliminating the need to dock and purchase fuel at a docking station, and thereby allowing you to roam the galaxies without limitation.
The novel gave you hints on which galaxies and planets had the goodies and the galactic chart helped you plan a journey. You also had to get into 'illegal activity' in order to become an outlaw and I think then be offered amnesty and richer rewards fighting against bad guys plaguing other galaxies. Battles in 3D were fun and when you zapped another spacecraft you got to scoop up their lost cargo, spacecraft upgrade kit, and other items floating around the area.
Elite completely shook things, you have to remember that before Elite games were usually 2D pacman/invaders clones, or text based adventure games, or extremely slow 3D maze games. Elite had criticism because of it's line-dawn environment, but 3D gameplay was fast, and showed the capabilities of the Acorn chips, in fact when the game was ported onto other consoles (using shaded blocks) it just didn't work, the limitations of other consoles were brutally exposed - they were just way too slow compared to the BBC machine.
Brilliant game.

Jericho Jones [Israel] - Junkies Monkeys & Donkeys
The group previously went under the name The Churchills, in their 1960s psyche days.
On here the music is rock or prog rock.

Various Artists - Brain In A Box
A wacky ‘mad scientist’ boxset with 3D lenticular pictures of a brain on 3 sides and humorous captioned images of control buttons. The box is mostly made of stiff card with a fake metallic finish, though the lid is made of metal with a cardboard hinge. Inside is a moulded soft foam holder for the 5 CDs and the 200 page book, though with disappointment at not containing a brain. The package was originally sealed and had a hype sticker.
Note that due to licensing problems a few of the tracks are recordings by other artists, though Rhino made the effort to licence tracks that do at least sound close to the originals.

12" Single
The Only Ones - Lovers Of Today
I thought that I owned a copy of this 12" but I cannot find it. What I did find were some interesting notes from Peter Perrett's biography 'Homme Fatale' by Nina Antonia, (see pictures).
The origins of the strange band photo used for the 7" cover and also as the stuck-on picture for the 12" are described in the book. An image, which looks like a 12" cover, is captioned "The cover for Lovers Of Today with the original flirtatious artwork", however the notes written in the paragraphs below, contradict what the 'original' 12" cover would actually become.
It now seems to me that the complete 'original artwork' (a tour poster with a chopped-up band photo arranged on top) was scrapped in favour of just using the (altered) band photo.

Book
Patrick Humphries - Nick Drake: The Biography
A couple of years later I had another go at reading the book but again found the author's rambling on about nothing to be way too tedious to engage me, eg a particular beer that Nick might have drank at some gathering, then a paragraph about said beer.
I dumped the book.

Vinyl Album
The Kinks - Kinda Kinks
In contrast to the earlier comment I would say this has more than enough enjoyable tracks to push it up the ratings. A particular favourite is Come On Now which has a nice catchy guitar hook, I don't know if it is original but USA garage bands such as the 13th Floor Elevators seem to have freely borrowed it.

The Kinks - The Kink Kontroversy
Re: Focus B, ...Finally got to see your comment and have added pics of the stereo label. Note the back cover has a sticker over the mono cat number (and unfortunately the name of a previous owner).
Mods: maybe hide the pics as they were quickly taken using my phone and are of rough quality

Edit... Oh dear I have just seen that there is a separate entry for the stereo pressing, though missing a full set of pics.

Kitchen And The Plastic Spoons - Screams To God
Punk & post punk collectors need this LP, and with prices for original pressings hitting £140 it was sorely in need of a re-pressing.
I did not buy this LP first time around since I already owned the band's 2007 compilation CD "Best Off" (which includes additional live tracks), but decided to get a copy this time around.
Get it while you have the chance.

Note that this LP gives the band name as "Kitchen + The Plastic Spoons", the band's Bandcamp page lists them as "Kitchen And The Plastic Spoons", listen and buy the LP there.

La Vie Sexuelle Des Belges 1950-1978 (The Sexual Life Of The Belgians) (1994)
This film was a relative success for the director, so much so that he made at least 3 sequels ....some of which borrow the title but appear to be completely at odds with the original's content.

Yellow Submarine - Apple
Some fairly 'un-special features' are included as bonuses, (eg 30 second 'interviews'). They did not include finished scenes cut/deleted from the UK version of the film but originally seen in the USA theatrical version, which would have been nice to have.

Yellow Submarine (1968)
The original feature film was released to cinemas in America a few weeks before the UK release and during the delay they tweaked the UK version. A few big changes were made to the UK version, including the addition of the 'Hey Bulldog' sequence, and the removal of some scenes which can be seen in this USA Betamax version (the tape was manufactured pre-restoration)....
