Yellow Submarine - MGM / UA
Unconfirmed, but this probably shows the original USA film, which does not have the 'Hey Bulldog' scenes, but does include some scenes that were excluded from the UK version.

Mandrake Paddle Steamer - Pandemonium Shadow Show
There have been a couple of rough bootleg LPs but this is official and is probably the best of the material that was recorded but never released.
What a great LP (also released on CD and download via bandcamp), its as good as what you could ever have wished for and well worth tracking down.

Thundercrack! - Synapse Films
Hyped and much delayed Blu-ray release of this cult 'arty porn film'. The original 150 minute camera negative was not found so they had to embark on an extensive restoration project. Only five prints were ever made, one was seized by Canadian officials and most others were trimmed or lost, the version we get on this Blu-ray is 120 minutes in length and includes a 10 minute intermission with music.
There have been bootleg DVDs of a very battered 90 minute print, which also cuts out most of the talky bits, so this Blu-ray renders all bootleg copies obsolete. The film is low budget and suffers from technical problems, the most obvious being with inaudible or missing dialogue, so you may want to switch on subtitles, or then again you may find the dialogue tiresome, which it can be.
When searching for additional content they did find good copies of outtakes, auditions and other elements and these have been included on the bonus DVD, which also contains interviews and a number of short films by Curt McDowell.
The special features on the Blu-ray include subtitles, an interview with Curt McDowell (which plays as a film commentary), and the documentary 'It Came From Kuchar' about the famous underground film makers.

Radiohead: The Most Gigantic Lying Mouth Of All Time - Radiohead Television
This was released by Radiohead for a limited time, I no longer own my copy so I cannot give full details.
As far as I remember it came in one of those DVD jewel cases and included a booklet with info, the image I have uploaded came from the booklet, it is not the actual cover of the DVD case.

Apparently Radiohead were approached to create a television show and so they made some promo videos and requested fans to submit their own work - which resulted in a deluge of clips. They put together a few completed episodes but ultimately they got rejected and the show got shelved. This DVD was instead created so as to at least have some record of the work done.
I did own a copy of this DVD but I have to say that the content was very much hit and miss and really not that entertaining - really miserable might be a better description but lets not try to upset anyone.

1 feature film and 2 short films are included in the special features, hopefully I have linked the correct ones:

Australia After Dark / The ABC Of Love And Sex: Australia Style - Umbrella Entertainment
The picture quality of Australia After Dark is fairly rough, and is letterboxed into a 4:3 frame. The ABC Of Love And Sex has better picture quality and is in a proper widescreen format.

Atolladero (1995)
This is a somewhat comic book action adventure. It looks like a typical American low budget small town setting where the law and criminal types get mean and violent. Except it is meant to be set in the future and includes some futuristic or slightly Mad Max inspired elements.
I would say this mash-up of genres is actually typical of Spanish films of the time, anything and everything seems to get thrown into the plot with careless abandon, which can be a bit of a drag. The violence is not particularly violent, but there are some attempts at black comedy which do not play well and actually cross over into sicko territory.

Blue Sunshine - Synapse Films
This special edition included a separate soundtrack CD and came housed in a shiny outer slipcase.
As far as I can remember, inside the slipcase was the regular edition of the DVD packaging, except that it had a double DVD case. I don't own this DVD anymore so cannot supply additional info.

Scottish rude & crude hit comedy. It had an initial run of six seasons, before the stars/writers decided to take a break. They returned after about six years absence for seasons seven-nine.

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly - Warner Bros. Home Entertainment
Review
The film itself is a classic as everyone should already know. This review is for the technicalities of the Blu-ray presentation.

Unfortunately it seems that someone made the decision to saturate the colour palate so now the action seems to take place on Mars, with orange-skinned men and Clint 'Blondie' now having much darker hair than before. I think possibly there may have been some tweaking on the soundtrack, much to the story's detriment eg no clinking of the spurs at the hotel shootout ....(maybe it was pushed over to some satellite speaker behind the viewer on a surround sound system which is useless when watching in mono).

Marc Bolan And John's Children - Beyond The Rising Sun
My copy also includes the undubbed track 'Rings Of Fortune' coming straight after 'Beyond The Rising Sun', though without groove separation.
The labels on my copy (as with the track listing above) are mismatched with the track listing on the sleeve.
12 of the 25 tracks are over-dubbed to make them sound more like glam T.Rex

Blue Ruin (2013)
Review
Dwight, a homeless and mentally scarred vagrant, is informed that the man who killed both his parents is about to be released from prison. Springing into action he sets off on a quest for revenge without fully appreciating the consequences of his actions.
This is a very enjoyable thriller quite unlike other vengeance films in that the protagonist really doesn’t have a plan other than to kill the man he believes killed his parents. Guaranteed that things will turn out horribly wrong, Dwight then he has to deal with the wrath of the vicious clan who in turn decide not to involve the police in this family matter.
As a morality tale it works fine being that you can believe this kind of situation could occur, and thankfully the story doesn’t fall into the usual preachy territory of vengeance films and instead sustains an edgy and tense atmosphere right through to the end.

Oriental Splendour, 1927
Japan Pays Homage, 1928

In Old Japan, 1930
In the days before budget travel, these were the only glimpses of Japanese life that most of the Western world would likely have ever seen.

Debbie Does Dallas (1978)
This title was available under the counter from a certain video rental store in my home town, and it was pocket money well spent at a school friend's video club (while his parents were out). Years later it had become a by-word for naughty videos, but nobody believed me that the film really did exist, such was its elevation to mythical status by then.
If you are interested, the 'story' in the film is a bunch of cheerleaders need cash to pay for a coach trip so that they can cheer on their American Football boyfriends who have an away match in Dallas. They do find a way to raise the funds...and other things.

The Wizard Of Oz - Warner Bros.
In 2014 there was this 2 Blu-ray set and a special edition 2 Blu-ray & bonus 3D Blu-ray set to choose from. The 3D disc was the only difference between the two sets, they both included a download code.

This 2 Blu-ray set was repackaged in 2019 using a new card slipcase, the 2 discs and case slip are from 2014, but note that the download code expired 3/11/2017.

-------

There are so many special features on this set that they spread over onto a second disc, they are not fully listed on the original cover nor the repackage cover slip. The bundle includes several early versions of The Wizard of Oz including short silent versions, many featurettes and documentaries, cast and crew profiles, interviews, appreciations, special effects, history, background info... the list goes on and on.
