No Canada, that's one place I ain't ever bin. I'd say it's just one of many corker Zappa albums. 24 years since his demise and what've we got as replacement? Ed Sheeran? It doesn't bare thinking about.

Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band	@Magic Marmalade: When my friends tell me "Oh I have it downloaded etc", I always reply "well, you ain't got nothin'". I really can't believe that anybody who enjoys music could possibly settle for mp3's. Even the slightly better Flak sounds criminally bad to my ears. Of course, if all you've got is a laptop connected by mini-jack plug to some crumby speakers or one of these dreadful sounding speaker/receiver hubs, what does it it matter, it's all crap and nothing more than a slightly sophisticated child's toy. A few of my friends with this rubbish couldn't even switch my hi-fi sytem on.

Sound wise - you're right, a decent vinyl copy does blow it away and I remember feeling most disappointed about that. But as a package with the decent booklet and that handy identifier of who's who on the sleeve, it's worth having.

Yet my extensive notes that I've been adding to bit by bit for around 20 years don't confirm that he did record it in 1973 - so my memory failure there. However, I'd be interested to know which version of Tommy this USA (lower key) version maybe found as it wasn't included on the 1996, 2003 or 2013 releases.

Ref this lot - if you scan that big sticker with a summary of the disc's contents, that's really all this needs, plus the individual sleeves. I don't think there's sufficient memory space for all 236 pages of the book!

Apollo59 20th Aug 2017		CD Album Neil Young And The Shocking Pinks - Everybody's Rockin'	@ppint: sorry for my lack of Romulan Star Trek text abilities - but I'd just like to add further to the US industry standards - apparently they didn't like LP's with less than 10 tracks and also with an uneven number of tracks. Of course, this was all back in the 1960's.

It would only cause further confusion as the European edition already has such status as being International. Which no matter how you look at it digs another foot in the grave of the single most bad idea ever manifested in the the record collector's community - that of the International release.
