BEATLEJOHN 27th Mar 2018		Vinyl Album The Monkees - Head	Not all the other tracks are incidental music (in fact some tracks are a mix of movie dialogue or incidental music).....if you want to get picky...track A7 (Gravy) is just Davy saying " ...And I'd like a glass of cold gravy with a hair in it please!"......should that get a Monkees credit?....John (PS added first pressing back cover ...no RE)

BEATLEJOHN 27th Mar 2018		Vinyl Album The Modern Lovers - The Modern Lovers	Added original (independent) back cover and labels....this is definitely one of those albums I heard in the store and immediately bought...(also, considering it was issued at the start of the Punk-era)...amazingly of some major FM stations in the New York area were playing "Roadrunner" in heavy rotation.....It wound up being quite a letdown for those who went to see Richman in 1977 and find a quiet minstrel with an acoustic (virtually unamplified) band playing what sounded like children's songs.............According to Jerry Harrison (later talking Heads) and David Robinson (later Cars), Jonathan refused to stay in a "heavy" band so by 1973 they both had left the group (still it's a great album)..................John

BEATLEJOHN 14th Mar 2018		Vinyl Album Sparks - 2 Originals Of Sparks	Added this interesting double set...The booklet has many facts, photos, clippings and trivia (and comments by Ron and Russell) about the "pre-Island" US band...as the first two US Bearsville Lp's were still in print... this double-album did not come out in the States...The front and back image is from the deleted "Halfnelson" Lp, the image of the "Woofer" album is actually the back cover of the original Lp...and this is not the only time where the images were transposed (but it is the first!)...John
BEATLEJOHN 14th Mar 2018		Vinyl Album Jimmy Soul - If You Wanna Be Happy	When this Lp came out it was the first appearance of "If You Wanna Be Happy" in stereo (albeit twintrack...all vocals to one side..music to the other side)..later on it has popped up with better (okay..it sounds like three tracks) stereo with Jimmy's lead vocal in the center....John
