(with though uncredited, I assume many photos were from Linda's camera!).....It seemed that US Arista was in no rush to release this interesting Lp, (a US issue would come 3 years later)...so A UK "import" purchase was necessary.....John

BEATLEJOHN 9th Oct 2017		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Abbey Road	Jock-Girl...okay this sounds reasonable! ....I knew though there were no "official" promo copies of The US White Album , Abbey Road and Hey Jude Lp's.............At Capitol, anything you left the building with {New York and Hollywood...I'm not too sure about the pressing plants} if it wasn't a promo (Lp's, 8-tracks, Cassettes, CD's and sometimes singles) it usually got punched or drilled/sliced, so it wasn't considered "stolen" and you couldn't re-sell it....John
BEATLEJOHN 7th Oct 2017		Vinyl Album The Beatles - Abbey Road	Abbey Road was never officially "cut-out", If it was returned, it would be returned to Capitol (Apple) and destroyed...There are no "promo" copies -but!- it's possible that some copies leaving Capitol Records in New York or Hollywood could have been "punched" before leaving the building (to prove they haven't been stolen)............or you have a mid70s bootleg!....John

(the font with the changes seems a little heavier)...I'm assuming there is a Monarch pressing with this earlier variation....John

BEATLEJOHN 14th Sep 2017		Vinyl Album Ringo Starr - Beaucoups Of Blues	Droid...re-checked and yes that's a Jacksonville "O" in the wax...though Jacksonville is notorious for using labels from Bert-Co and Keystone...(I have a 1968 copy of The Beach Boys "Summer Day's" album pressed by Jacksonville with an LA subsidiary label on side one... and a non-sub Scranton label on side two...it even has a "full dimensional stereo" banner on the front cover...even though it's duophonic).....John

BEATLEJOHN 7th Sep 2017		Vinyl Album The Kinks - The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society	Finally gotten around to add/scan Mono cover....this particular copy came from Doug Hinman back in the early 80's...up until it's issue on CD it was one of my treasured possessions as far as mono mixes go! (right up there with The White Album, Bee Gees 1st, The Who Sell Out, Beggars Banquet and Once Upon A Dream.)......Oh!... anyone ever notice Phenomenal Cat is misspelled on the back cover...was this ever corrected?.....John
