carryonsidney 16th Jun 2018 | | Vinyl AlbumFamily - Family Entertainment | A quick run round the web fails to find any Mono versions of this album. Although Reprise were still issuing Stereo + Mono albums at this time. Probably is a mistake in RC.

carryonsidney 9th Nov 2017 | | Live MusicKiss @ Gaumont | ReviewA gig I went to (belated birthday present from big brother). We watched Bon Jovi, I didn't rate them at all (not heavy enough). Kiss were great live even sans the makeup, gig sound wasnt great as left hand PA speaker stack buzzed all through the gig. Funny I remember that but not my breakfast this morning!

carryonsidney 28th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumTerry Reid - The Most Of Terry Reid | straight reissue of "Terry Reid" SCX 6370 (1969). If I understand this correctly Reid and his manager/producer Mickie Most had a falling out in 69 which resulted in the original record sinking without trace as Reid could not play in UK. This record could have been released by Most when news that Reid, free of his contract was signed to ATLANTIC in 71?

carryonsidney 28th Jun 2017 | | Cassette SingleThe Clique - The Clique Demo 1993: Big Boss British Beat | Got to suggest an edit here. This is the bands demo tape (for hawking around record companies & venues). The actual title should be: "Big Boss British Beat....oh yeah!"

carryonsidney 20th Jun 2017 | | 78 RPMLouis Armstrong's Original Washboard Beaters - Second New Rhythm Style Series, No. 167 & 168 | I found an online mag from Spring 1936 which reviews & suggests this record was actually Clarence Williams.
see here
on reading back a page the mag refers to the release as August 1927?

carryonsidney 18th Jun 2017 | | Vinyl AlbumMotörhead - No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith | Available in Black or Gold vinyl. Some websites list the Gold as BRONG 535 however that was only noted on some copies with a special gold sticker on the alblum sleeve, otherwise the actual record sleeve shows BRON 535 not all the gold vinyl sleeves were stickered in that way.

carryonsidney 17th Jun 2017 | | 78 RPMHumphrey Lyttelton - Careless Love / When The Saints Go Marching In | This record couldn't have come out before his own debut indie pressings. Should be 1950's as Fokeman says.
|
carryonsidney 17th Jun 2017 | | 78 RPMRed Onion Jazz Babies - Terrible Blues / Santa Claus Blues | I have a label variation, the background label info is in red instead of green, the label info/ address is different "Released by Jazz Art Society 65 Bramber Rd W. Kensington London, ENG"
Which makes me think its earlier than Charing Cross address.
