casinosoul 9th Dec 2013 | | Vinyl AlbumMr. Partridge - Take Away / The Lure Of Salvage | Obviously Andy Partridge 'mucking about' with XTC tracks in a Dub style as follows -
A1 - "Refrigeration Blues" ('White Music' LP outtake; the lyrics were a poem called "Signal Ad (Saleable Futurity").
A2 - "Heatwave" (using the backing tracks and slowing them down).
A3 - "Millions" (using the percussion tracks and adding guitar and ad-libbed vocals).
A4 - "Real by Reel" (using the backing tracks and adding various sounds).
A5 - "Pulsing Pulsing" (using the backing tracks and adding various things with poetry inspired by Charlie Parker's "Ornithology").
A6 - "Homo Safari" (sped up backing tracks adding keyboards, vocals and handclaps).
B1 - "Helicopter" (improvised guitar/singing/yelling over drums, bass and percussion tracks).
B2 - "That Is The Way" (backing track with new sounds added).
B3 - "Roads Girdle the Globe" (slowed-down backing track of the bridge with poem and sounds added).
B4 - "Red / Day In Day Out" (original beginning, then all nine of Barry Andrews' sax parts from "Red" played simultaneously, and "Day In Day Out" sped up with a new bass line).
B5 - "Making Plans For Nigel" (new lyrics and sounds to the backing tracks).

casinosoul 4th May 2013 | | 12" SingleXTC - Go+ | I think this was also distributed on it's own after the initial 'bonus disc' release. I remember seeing it as a separate item in the Oxford St, HMV around the time. Also I'm quite sure not all of the 15,000 came with their own cover but just in plain sleeves.
It's a disc of Andy Partridge' s dub experiments and versions of songs from the GO2 Lp which he later expanded into a full Lp with 'The Lure Of Salvage'. I remember trying to work out the songs and in order they are 1) Meccanik Dancing 2) Jumping In Gomorrah 3) Battery Brides 4) I Am The Audience and 5) The Rhythm (which wasn't quite as obvious as the others). GO2 is my favourite XTC Lp as I don't much go on the later pastoral stuff.
Having said that Messrs. Goulding and Partridge are certified national treasures.

casinosoul 3rd May 2013 | | 12" SingleThe Fall - 15 Ways | Track B1 is a revised track from the very first incarnation of The Fall called 'Hey, Fascist' and which was only ever played live in 1977 / 1978.

casinosoul 3rd May 2013 | | 12" SingleBlue Orchids - Agents Of Change | Apparently this release also had with it a poster of the design on the carrier bag. This poster may or may not also have been enclosed with their LP 'The Greatest Hit'. A promo poster of the design was definately produced but whether it was included in the release is confusing me.

casinosoul 15th Jan 2013 | | Cassette SingleBonadish - Bonadish EP | Track 3 is one of the great lost post punk tracks and only ever available on this 'shed' produced cassette -
[YouTube Video]
From the same label that discovered Tracy Thorn and the Marine Girls InPhaze was a guy called Pat Bermingham who ran this cassette operation from his shed in Ilford, Essex. Developed the early talents of the Legendary Pink Dots and Portion Control as well.
Little is known about Bonadish although I did see them live once at an event in Covent Garden, London with a two man electronic band on the same label called Solid Space who produced an equally rare and superb cassette album called Space Museum which, to my ever regret, I have lost.
