My mother, as part of the campus committee that scheduled entertainment at UW-Madison, booked Bob Manning. She came away a fan, so anytime I’d run across one of his records I’d grab it for her. Now I’m stuck with this Bob Manning collection.

I actually remember my grandmother using the expression circa 1960 Eg: “Good Gravy- did you read today’s stock report?”
