Harry Roy - Take It From There / Comin' In On A Wing And A Pray'r
I used to have quite a number of these Regal Zonophone records, but they have long gone down the years. This tune was very popular in the early days of WW2,

Frank Sinatra - Young At Heart / Take A Chance
I think that 'these wondrous new pastures' are a great addition to this terrific site, especially to a 79 year old who goes way back.

Duane Eddy - Peter Gunn / Yep!
I remember I always preferred playing my 78s to my first 45s back in the mid to late 50s. The sound to me always seemed fuller.

I was stationed at RAF Uxbridge in 1952 and a few of us went to the Farnborough Air Show that year. The Vulcan made its maiden flight, what a sight. Of course it was overshadowed by the John Derry tragedy, but what impressed us was that immediately after the accident Neville Duke went up in the Hunter and put on a fantastic display.

Unfortunately it looks like next year will be the last time that the solitary Vulcan will take to the skies. A fantastic plane.
