Fascinating Facts:
Charmaine and Marie appear next to each other here.
The Harmonicats had singles of Charmaine and Marie.
The Bachelors had hits of Charmaine and Marie in that order.

Mantovani and Bachelors also both recorded Diane.

I speculate this Third Man was motivated by the TV series and recorded after that somewhere, then compiled here.
Here's the sample of this one.

Clay Cole Sunday Show (1964 - 1968)
From the defunct website of Clay Cole, this text about when the Sunday show started - ~November 1964.
"The Clay Cole Sunday Show
November 4, 1964
The Clay Cole Show celebrated a first anniversary on Channel 11 by becoming their hottest property, their number one show. Rather than offer me a new contract, more money or a bonus, I was given a second hour show with additional duties. So the Clay Cole Sunday Show was created with a cast of fresh, young singers Tracey Dey, Angela Martin, Benny Thomas, Brian McCuen and the Del Satins."

Is this LP on thin vinyl or full weight? I'm trying to differentiate the 1980s European bootleg. Who has details?

Cleopatra
Review
I'd say the problem with this movie was that it was written for the Shakespearean crowd. Wow, what a bunch of long serious dialog drama. The film turned out 6 hours, and they cut it down to four. That created holes in the screenplay.
Then there was the hole created when America cut out the scene of Cleo in the lounge room because her fabric was too filmy. That's where Burton goes in and discusses the attack on Alexandria and the burning of the library with her. Audiences missed that entire point.
A 40 million cost. They put a brave face on it, saying that Liz's attraction made it profitable. Was that a false claim? It made $16 million box office (not sure if that's US or worldwide). Has it made it up since then?
But Elizabeth Taylor's career and the fabric of western society would not be complete if she hadn't made this film.

Marcie Blane / Tracey Dey - Marcie Blane Together With Tracey Dey
I've seen issue dates of 2009 and 2013 online, so it may have been reissued.
It is considered unauthorized.
Quality is fine.
Missing was a little sub-label that Marginal of Belgium had for about 10 issues.
And here are the Europeans again misusing the term "remastered". These were copied from vinyl.

Mario Lanza - Ave Maria / Because
I notice that the soundtrack album of the day omitted Ave Maria and some others, and only had 8 songs. Ave Maria was only issued on the single, rerecorded by RCA, not the movie version.
Everyone should realize that there are two compositions of Ave Maria. This one is by Gounod. The other, by Schubert, Lanza also recorded, in Serenade.
Did Gounod only arrange this from the Bach melody, or did he compose the vocal melody?

Current digital collections bring all the songs back together, digitized from old records. (Not "REMASTERED" for Pete's sake)

Mario Lanza - Ave Maria / Because
What's the length of Ave Maria here? The 45 was ~2:36. There's a recording around that's over 4 min with instrumental in the first half.
This is not lifted from the movie soundtrack. Was there a different soundtrack album recorded as well?

Jack Scott - Way To Survive
I'd like to hear it sometime, without buying first. Now I wonder if it was made from digital or analog?
Jack Scott performed in Winnipeg a few years ago at a rock reunion organized by Superoldies radio, and hung out with Burton Cummings. (I wasn't there)

Where Eagles Dare (1968)
Written by Alistair MacLean. Ingrid Pitt in an early role as Heidi - that's the busty wench in a maid uniform. Catching the attention of James Carreras of Hammer.
Burton explaining the plot in the movie: 'it may seem complicated, but to the English mind very easy'. Is that true? But MacLean was Scottish.
Excellent.

Here is the Youtube film in Swiss German, from Kanal Deutscher Sprache.
And the film in French, from Françoise Dorléac.

There was an international version DVD from the Swiss Praesens company including English. I haven't found a way to get it so far. Let me know if there's a way to get it in Canada.

The Uninvited
This is where I learned how useless Ray Milland was as an actor. A role where he's dealing with suspense and ghosts in a house, all he can do is reel off his lines glibly just to get them over with. He wrecked the movie.
Later he "said he was a screen star for years before he understood enough about acting".

Another Hollywood BUST. Made to look like an African adventure, it turns out mostly soap opera with Ava Gardner and Grace Kelly. Some staged or stock scenes with wild beasts and wild natives. What was Hollywood doing?

The Naked Jungle (1954)
What a mixed bag this film was. Great promise as a jungle adventure, but greatly diluted by the inclusion of the soap opera subplot with Eleanor Parker. They had to fill the time I guess, and maybe appeal to females. By the time it gets to the army ants it's exciting, especially for a young kid.

Jack The Ripper (1959)
Review
A fictional account based on the true story of the London Jack The Ripper of 1888, who brutally killed several prostitutes in the Whitechapel district. Story written by Peter Hammond and Colin Craig. A well-done film in black and white, the writing, acting and photography are all good, creating an atmospheric foggy London mystery.
No one knows for sure who the real Ripper was, but this story identifies him in the end, fictionally. He gets his just deserts, and the US release even added red color to one shot that showed his blood.
Lee Patterson as Sam Lowry is the American detective who helps on the case. Eddie Byrne as Inspector O'Neill is in charge from Scotland Yard. This actor is apparently Jewish, has a rough and unserious manner, and does not add positively to the atmosphere of the film.
Robert S. Baker and Monty Berman produced a series of good films at the time including Blood Of The Vampire and The Flesh And The Fiends. Then they moved on to television series production such as The Saint with Roger Moore.

Jack The Ripper (1959)
The story of the US release was thus:
US distributor Joseph E. Levine played the grand showman. He knew he had a hit on his hands. He was going to promote the release to high heaven. A $2 million promotional budget, he appeared on TV with a wheelbarrow depicting $2 million in bills. There were TV ads everywhere and the movie attracted great interest. Of course this presumes the popularity would compensate for his costs.
But then Levine cheated. Instead of standard ticket prices, he made the price $2, and regardless of age. Tickets for young people then used to be maybe 35c. That audience now generally couldn't afford to go. Altho popular and liked, the release became a financial flop. It did not earn a profit in a single theater.
The US release is not reissued in any commercial form. It may not have been formally copyrighted and may be public domain.

The US distributor created a different soundtrack score, by Jimmy McHugh and Pete Rugolo instead of using the UK score of Stanley Black. The UK aspect ratio was 1.66 widescreen.
