George Slv 12th Mar 2015		Vinyl Album Peggy Lee - Guitars à La Lee	This is a fascinating album. It is scarce. First, the title did not make clear that this was vocals by Peggy. As you digest it, you realize it is arty and masterful. It would typically be called jazz, and that's what the guitars are. But Peggy did not consider herself a jazz singer. Neither do I. Why can't you sing pop in a cool jazzy style.

Steve had a hand in producing this release, and this is not very professional. Perhaps fortunately, this is a fairly useless album musically, and doesn't have much distribution.

Music! here is significantly faster than the single, which creates the mystery of which is correct and which had its speed adjusted. Hear an archive copy of this one. It also cuts the fadeout shorter.

George Slv 18th Feb 2015		Vinyl Album Frank Sinatra And His Friends - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas	One of the first Reprise releases. Mostly a buncha has-beens from 1950s Capitol. Frankie must have obtained these rights. A very obscure album, but very significant for Dean's song, which is now an important classic. I don't know when and where it was recorded. It's not the same as his Capitol recording on A Winter Romance. Peace On Earth originates from the movie Lady And The Tramp, written by Sonny Burke & Peggy Lee.

I'm adding one or more for the list today, check my files. I saw somewhere that a couple of these UA comps made the chart, but now don't see it in Billboard.

However I now can't find any trace of any Mercury vinyl releases. Album contents were previously released on Mercury and Sonnet Records.
