jago125 30th May 2019 | | 78 RPMJelly-Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers - Deep Creek / Shreveport | Moderator; Artist credit for Deep Creek should be....."Jelly Roll Morton's Red Hot Peppers".
Added label variants.
Re. earlier comment; HMV B.9220 uses take two of "Shreveport".

jago125 15th May 2019 | | 78 RPMFrancisco Carlos - Ana Maria / Carnaval É Ilusāo | Would someone kindly help with precise dates, etc. Thanks.
[Done. See above. Mod.]

jago125 15th May 2019 | | 78 RPMGroßes Harmonie-Orchester - Alexander-Marsch / Supporter-Marsch | Mod: titles and artists need to change places.
jago125 12th May 2019 | | 78 RPMFrancisco Alves - Confetti / Todo Mundo Chora | Underneath the label can be seen: Emidisc 51 E.M.I. STUDIOS LIMITED. in large characters (4 mm tall) circling the label. The "51" appears to be made with different tooling as it's rotated some 20 degrees to the others, presumably year of manufacture.
jago125 27th Apr 2019 | | 78 RPMDave Rubinoff - To Be Forgotten (Ser Olvidado) / 'Cause I Feel Low Down | The A side of this 78 is "To Be Forgotten". Brunswick USA underlined the cat. number to denote the 'B' side on their records at the time this one was made.
jago125 21st Apr 2019 | | 78 RPMTrio Los Chamas - Como Te Gustan Los Militares / La Flor De La Canela | With its off-centre and wonky labels, here is possibly the first Peruvian 78 to be sent in.
Trio Los Chamas appears in 45cat with the same titles on a 45 rpm disc, mistakenly (I believe) entered as a Panama record; mod. please confirm if this is so. [Yes, that was a mistake; it has been corrected now. Mod.]
Does anyone know from which decade this was issued (1950's/60's ?).

jago125 13th Apr 2019 | | 78 RPMEarl Jackson And His Musical Champions - Is That Religion? / Red Devil | B side of this (RedDevil) is actually by Mills Blue Rhythm Band -the Earl Jackson therefore being a pseudonym. The two bands do sound remarkably alike in style as the A side Is by Ellington!

jago125 31st Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMLouis Armstrong - New Rhythm Style Series No. 29 and 30 | Added pre-EMI labels.
jago125 29th Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMJoe Venuti's Blue Four - New Rhythm Style Series 103/104 | Added images of earlier label type (pre EMI pressing).
jago125 29th Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMEddie Lang - New Rhythm Style Series No. 1 & 2 | Added images of original Parlophone paper sleeve advertising their new "Rhythm Style"records and star soloists - circa 1929.
jago125 18th Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMRed Nichols - Allah's Holiday / Roses Of Picardy | Supplied image of A side.
jago125 16th Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMCount Basie - Blue Shadows And White Gardenias / 'Ay Now! | Probably the first Brazilian Columbia to be sent in.
jago125 16th Mar 2019 | | 78 RPMLew White - Lover, Come Back To Me / Coquette | Design of label is German and has the Brunswick "stars" - ruling out 1929 and American.
(One title is from a German film).
jago125 15th Sep 2018 | | 78 RPMJack Payne And His B.B.C. Dance Orchestra - Dream Star Of Araby / Maggie's Gold | I don't have a reference book, but I reckon it's early 1930.
jago125 1st Jan 2018 | | 78 RPMHerbert Ernst Groh - Der Postillon von Lonjumeau / Martha | This Odeon is very possibly a German issue from the 1940's. [Based on the catalog number, it was originally released in 1935. But the label shows that it is indeed a post-ww2 pressing. Mod.]
jago125 3rd Dec 2017 | | 78 RPMJack Winn And His Dallas Dandies - Someday, Sweetheart / Limehouse Blues | Yes, this Panachord "B" side certainly does have a vocal - by the man himself. It is nice to hear the lyrics of Limehouse Blues for once!, and it's actually a very good side too.
jago125 23rd Sep 2017 | | 78 RPMDuke Ellington - In A Jame / Uptown Downbeat | Some nice spelling typos on both labels!
jago125 23rd Sep 2017 | | 78 RPMGuy Lombardo And His Royal Canadians - Little Dutch Mill / You Oughta Be In Pictures (My Star Of Stars) | Nice record. I believe that this is actually a German issue (note shop sticker). Brunswicks with an "A" prefix followed by six digits are French. Those with the "A" prefix and three, four, or five digits are German. That which we refer to as the catalogue or stock number of this 78, is actually the A 9553 on the left. (The "6781 A & B") is the issue number of the original U.S.A. Brunswick).
[Thanks. Made the necessary changes. Mod.]
jago125 13th Jul 2017 | | 78 RPMCarmen Miranda - Salada Mixta / Na Baixa Do Sapateiro | With its sticker and English spelling of "orchestra ", it seems likely that this 78 was destined for export.
jago125 5th Mar 2017 | | 78 RPMThe Mills Brothers - I've Found A New Baby / Sweet Sue | There is a large depressed ring around the spindle hole on side A, but not on side B....?
I haven't noticed this on any other 78's - but surely there must be others out there.
