Stanley Black, Londonskim Festivalskim Orkestrom - Rapsodija U Plavom, Amerikanac U Parizu
Recorded on 24 and 25 May 1965 at Kingsway Hall with the London Festival Orchestra (actually the New Philharmonia Orchestra) and released on Oct 1966 as Decca PFS4098 and Feb 1967 as London SPC21009.
Later reissued as CD 421 025.2.

This record weights only 122 gram and it's very flexible, so I guess it's a later (70's) pressing. But I'm not shure.

The text is slightly different on the cover and the label, so I kept the label as guidance.
Note the different orchestras on the label and rear of the cover!

Ok MM, I will try to do so next time. I thought it would be right so because 1000 Years of Sacred Music was no problem.

Is this a HMV "Angel Series" record, because of the scribing angel down in the label?

I added this record as a single "78rpm record", but it belongs to the "78rpm Album" if more discs of this recording appears, I guess. It's (of course) a 12" record.

I would say it's label is Columbia, and the recording is in Studio 2 Stereo, similar to the Decca Phase 4 Stereo records, so it may be Columbia Studio 2 Stereo

The M in the 33 triagle doesn't mean mono, see here.
M stands for Microgroove, so this record should be played with a (flip-over) cartridge in M position and not in N (normal groove, for 78 rpm records).

Stereo singles appeared directly from the start of the Stereo Era, in 1958
Here is one a year after.
Popular music was mostly played by young people on monaural record players, so there was no use to release them as stereophonic records.

Andrés Segovia - Madronos, Homenaje Pour Le Tombeau De Debussy, Sonate
Made in Germany in the dead wax. The date code is B 7, and between the B and the 7 is in a lower groove a fallen back letter L. So I presume it's date is Februari 1957.
Phil, here we have twelve months in a year, so 1160 is November 1960 ;).

Is it possible to use this date as a release date?

Here you see the complete1969 catalogue of Philips HiFi products. The 22RH790 (page 3 of the record, the model above the pu- catridges) was the first receiver with a ( 3 - presetteble) electronic touch control knobs. If you repair this one notice the 300V supply for the neon indicator / memory touch control electronic devices. You might not expected such high voltages in a transistorized receiver! It gives you an unpleasant moment when you touched such a component, I noticed.

Willy Derby - Twee harten in een driekwartsmaat / Voorby geluk (Song of songs)
It is indeed German made for the Dutch market. The Dutch alfabet has a letter ( the ij) which is unique in the world and only exists in The Netherlands and Flandria. Other countries, like Germany uses the y instead of ij. The capital letter is the IJ like in the river IJssel. Lot of people spell it wrong (also Dutch!) as Ijssel.
The y or Y is a foreign letter for us.

The word "voorby" is spelled wrong, it should be "voorbij".
Louis Davids song ......Zei zy is corrected: Zei zij (She said). The pronouncing is the same.

So the country should be changed in to "Germany" (Germanij :) and the type of record "Export"' . Also the same for the other Tri-Ergon records.

Willy Derby was a Dutch singer (1886 - 1944)

It seens to be they have changed the orchestra on side 2 of the label, or made a mistake on the back of the cover.
The director Fritz Lehmann died in May 1956, so it's an old recording they reissued in the UK, probably for the first time in 1969.

Edit: Side 2 - the recording is in January 1956, with the Munich Philharmonic.

Well.... tons of Supraphon records.... not in The Netherlands as far as I know, They were cheap, yes, but they had a name of bad quality (like Europa / Karoussel records) and the performances coudn't tip to the Westen musicians. So you don't see them so much, especially not SQ ones.

Melodia was represented by CNR here and had the same problem, although Russian music should be played with Russian musicians, because "only they could feel the spirit" of the composer :) , according to CNR.

Reminds me of a nice promo 7" vinyl record I have somewhere. It has a origami promotion leaf.
