kimbozw 23rd Apr 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - 1962-1966 [The Red Album] | also check the album cover. if glossy type cover then it's likely from South Africa, if a matt type cover then from Zimbabwe. That may settle the uncertainty.
kimbozw 22nd Apr 2014 | | Vinyl AlbumThe Beatles - 1962-1966 [The Red Album] | it's more the print font which resembles a South African pressing to me

kimbozw 10th Mar 2014 | | Vinyl Album[no artist listed] - Springbok Hit Parade 60 | these album covers inspired the name of a South African band 20+ years later on -
"SPRINGBOK NUDE GIRLS" :-)
kimbozw 7th Mar 2014 | | Vinyl Album[no artist listed] - Springbok Hit Parade 11 | yes, the selection of tracks included on the SPRINGBOK HITS series must have been based on some of the most popular selling records at the time. BIANCA did not reach the Top 20 singles sales chart at the time in South Africa but was perhaps bubbling under or in the vernacular referred to as "op die drumpel". BIANCA had been a hit in the german language in Germany and elsewhere by FREDDY BRECK and was also recorded i think by GERT POTGIETER another RSA artist. Whether the latter artist released his version as a single i do not know.
