Various Artists - Five-String Banjo Greats
McGuinn's Banjo Cantata is a (brief) arrangement of Bach's "Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring".
Hm, seems to me that he inserted that melody into a certain Byrds song...

Side 2 track order on the label is correct, as opposed to the sleeve

Errol Garner - Rosalie / Everything Happens To Me
After some more digging around, it does seem that Garner's work with Gaskin and Smith is most likely from 1949, so I've adjusted the date.

The Contemporary Chamber Ensemble, Arthur Weisberg - Varèse: Offrandes/Intégrales/Octandre/Ecuatorial
Varèse also used the name Edgar at times, so we'll have to deal with that variation...

Errol Garner - Rosalie / Everything Happens To Me
Does anyone have some info about this Portrait label? I only know of two releases, with all 4 sides coming from the same Erroll Garner session (Leonard Gaskin on bass, Charlie Smith on drums).
ARLD lists it as circa 1945, but jazzdisco.org dates these sessions as being Aug 1949. I'm setting this to 1945 for now...

Hamp Hawes - Bopera Part 7 / Unfinished Bopera
Moved Mike's cleaner label scan to the top, though I cannot say which format may have been earlier.
This particular bunch of jazz records that I acquired are fairly clean as far as the playing surfaces go, but the previous owner had a habit of affixing those hole-reinforcement stickers onto the record labels, presumably to keep them from slipping.

The Romancers [L.A., 60s] - Let's Do The Swim
Second album by The Romancers; also the first (and apparently only) release on the Selma label (a subsidiary of Del-Fi, whose address was 6277 Selma Ave. Hollywood).

Release date estimated based on delta numbers. When I first looked at the runout info, I wondered if the labels had been put on the wrong sides. But they are correct.

One title track discrepancy on B5: label has "Peanut Butter And Jam", cover has "Dog Paddle". No telling which is correct, since these are all instrumentals, as was the case with the "Slauson" LP. The reason why both LPs contain only instrumentals is kind of a long story, but it boils down to a legal dispute between the Del-Fi and Magic Circle labels over the rights to Max Uballez (he had released a record as Maximilian on Magic Circle, and then another one as Max Uballes on Donna). IIRC the end result of the dispute was that Max was prohibited from singing on any releases for five years.

The Don Ellis Orchestra - 'Live' At Monterey
The 1966 Monterey Jazz Festival took place on Sept 16-18 (Fri-Sun). Don Ellis performed on Sunday afternoon.
This LP was my introduction to Don Ellis and is still one of my favorites.

Mike Nichols And Elaine May - Mike Nichols And Elaine May Examine Doctors
On the original LP, track 3 of 12 was "The Von Brauns At Home", which is omitted from this release. Reason is that when Wernher von Braun heard that track, he threatened to sue. It was then agreed to exclude it from all subsequent releases.
Here is the track that caused all the fuss: [YouTube Video]

Various Artists - Baseball's Greatest Hits
I have entered the tracks as listed on the insert and tape sides, however... there seems to have been a disconnect or change of plans for the format of this tape release. The tape actually plays all 23 tracks as on the CD release shown here. Side one ends with Sam and Dave's "Knock It Out Of The Park", and side two begins with Terry Cashman's "Play-By-Play".

Teddy Edwards - Teddy's Tune / Wonderful Work
This Billboard ad from April 16, 1949 lists four Teddy Edwards releases in the 25000 series. I wonder if the 26000 series was a continuation of that series. I have found no specific info on this release/series so far...

Wind Soloists Of The Chamber Orchestra Of Europe - Beethoven: Music For Wind Instruments
All 4 works in this collection were composed in the 1790s; some were published well after the fact, hence the misleading opus numbers.
Some additional details:
- the quintet is catalogued as WoO 208, also referenced as Hess 19; it exists in fragmentary form, the version performed here being a reconstruction by Leopold Alexander Zellner from 1862.
- the rondino is catalogued as WoO 25.
