LaurenceD SUBS ● 21st Aug 2014		Cassette Album Jimmy Rogers - Chicago Bound	"Sloppy Drunk" misspelled as "Sloopy Drunk" on insert. This collection was supplanted by the 1997 2-disc set The Complete Chess Recordings (Chess 50th Anniversary), but it's still definitely worth picking up if you run across a copy.
LaurenceD SUBS ● 19th Aug 2014		Cassette Album Dr. John - Goin' Back To New Orleans	A very worthy follow-up, or prequel, to the Gumbo LP. Mac wrote the liner notes for this release as well, and they're wonderful.
LaurenceD SUBS ● 6th Aug 2014		Cassette Album Various Artists - Jim Healy	Jim Healy passed away on July 22, 1994. He was an institution to Los Angeles sports fans. I knew several people who would arrange their work schedule so that they could be listening to a radio at 5:30 pm every weekday. Many Los Angeles sports and media personalities were interviewed for this tribute, too many to list. Some of the more familiar participants are Tom Lasorda, Vin Scully, Al Michaels, Norm Sherry, Buzzie Bavasi, "Superfan" Ed Bieler, Johnny Grant and Allan Malamud. Plus reminiscences from Patrick Healy (Jim's son), and of course many clips from Healy's show. More info about the tribute can be found here.
LaurenceD SUBS ● 20th Apr 2014		Reel-to-Reel Pete Seeger - The Bitter And The Sweet	Since the liner notes were inside the box, I was unable to scan them, so I took photos instead with less-than-spectacular results. I'll try to set up better lighting for my next attempt.
LaurenceD SUBS ● 8th Apr 2014		Reel-to-Reel Lena Horne - Lena Horne At The Waldorf Astoria	Supposedly, RCA Victor issued pre-recorded tapes as early as 1954, but this is the oldest one that I have found so far.
LaurenceD SUBS ● 30th Mar 2014		Reel-to-Reel Elvis Presley - Pot Luck	From what I've been able to gather, it looks like RCA Victor did not begin issuing Elvis on reel-to-reel until sometime in 1966, so I have tentatively set this one, along with my other three RCA Victor tapes, to that year. Perhaps there's an expert who knows better.
