LaurenceD SUBS 1st Jan 2024		CD Album Professor Longhair - Rock 'N' Roll Gumbo	Reissue of Blue Star XBLY 80 606 plus 2 unreleased tracks from the same sessions (8,13). The LP (DC-3006) was definitely released in 1985, but I'm not so sure about this CD, might've been later.

Most of these tracks were recorded in 1956-1957, and Damita Jo does not sing lead on A5,A7,B4,B5 and B7. BTW this Billboard ad from Feb 6, 1961 designates this LP (and two others) as mono-only releases.

LaurenceD SUBS 26th Dec 2023		Cassette Album Johnny Rivers - Changes	Liberty released its first 24 cassette albums in December 1967; see: Billboard ad from Dec 2 1967 Johnny Rivers' Rewind album (C-0774) was included in that group, but this one was released some time in the first half of 1968.
LaurenceD SUBS 22nd Dec 2023		Vinyl Album Sham 69 - Tell Us The Truth/That's Life	Hmm, the cover photo used to reproduce "Tell Us The Truth" appears to be from the USA release. You can see where they obscured the Sire logo on the front lower right. Also, it shows a cutout notch, just like my copy.

LaurenceD SUBS 20th Dec 2023		Vinyl Album [no artist listed] - The Story Of Tiny Timber	My copy is enclosed in a plain white sleeve. From the Edmonton Journal Dec 8, 1970: The local people involved in the creation and production of upcoming Christmas kiddies treat Tiny Timber hope that one day he'll be another Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. The story of why Christmas trees are green, written and produced locally as an LP, will be heard simultaneously on CHQT and CJCA Dec. 23, and was to have been tied to a huge Safeway contest for the kids. Now because of a decision at the coast there'll be no contest, but the 1,000 LPs originally set for it will be given away Dec. 14 at Harold's Stereo Shack, on an "as long as they last" basis, really is a cute story for youngsters.
