Ritchie Valens - Come On Let's Go / Dooby Dooby Wah
Discographies show this 45/78 was issued in Nov 58 and it takes a very brave person to say that it wasn't.

Bob Keane (Del-Fi owner) licensed this to Pye Int and there is every good reason to think that he considered Dooby Dooby Wah was a better flip for the UK issue as it's more Valens-like in style.

"Framed" was a old Leiber/Stoller r&b comedy song from the Robins (pre-Coasters) and arguably not suited to Valens high voice especially the talk lines in the song.

The LP shows Keane, under his real name of Kuhn, co-wrote Dooby so maybe royalties came into it too. Bob Keane as label owner/producer was in a position to do whatever he wanted with Valens' catalogue - which he sure did.

Charlie Kunz - Kunz Revivals, No.1
This is No 1 in the series of 26 Kunz Revivals which issued previous releases on the Sterno (1-8) and Rex (9-26). Most are straight re-issues but at least 3 mix sides from two 78s.

Tony Osborne, His Piano And His Orchestra - Where In The World?
This is Nixa's first stereo LP and it seems the label design was rather fancy but the standard plum colour label was used in due course.

The sleeve clearly suggests the labels have been incorrectly designated A & B for the track order.intended by Nixa.

UK issues on the London label had a prefix of H to denote "Home" followed by - APB.
Unless uploader has missed off the H this record must be a US issue.

The Supersonics - Cherokee / Linger Awhile
This issue comes from US Rainbow records and was titled "New Cherokee Boogie" and by the Super-Sonics (with hyphen).

I suspect UK London felt the need to revert to the original and proper title of "Cherokee" for copyright reasons.

Jackie Davis Trio - They Can't Take That Away From Me / Autumn In New York
According to the RIS London catalogue the sides should be reversed despite the matrix numbers.

The Gershwin tune is much more accessible and enjoyable to the general listener and I think UK London made the right decision.

"Autumn In New York" is very much an acquired taste.

Chico Arnez And His Latin American Orchestra - This Is Chico
Chico Arnez was actually trumpeter Jackie Davies from Streatham cashing in on the Latin-American craze and making a career from it.

This LP was engineered by Joe Meek who was brilliant with percussion sounds which this LP demonstrates.

Chris Barber's Jazz Band And Skiffle Group - New Orleans Joys
My copy of this LP is in a non-laminated card sleeve with the date shown as CP 54.11.

I suggest this is the first issue in November 1954. Melody Maker were clearly a bit behind in their reviews.

Randolph Sutton - Is Izzy Azzy Woz? / Mademoiselle Pomme-De-Terre
Review
This is a clever and very catchy novelty song. Izzy is ill in bed and verses end with:-

" I am Izzy's lawyer and I called around because
I want to know is Izzy worse or Izzy azzy woz"

Great stuff!

It seems that this song is My Name Is Written Down by Rosie Hibler from a 1951 Folkways recording.

Frann Weigle - My Diary Of Broken Dreams / Rockin' Chair
Review
The US London label shows the artist as: The Multiple Voices of Frann Weigle.
The A side is like the Ink Spots and the flip is like the Mills Bros.
The male vocal group sound would clearly have been created by multi-tracking. For 1949 it's a great effort and very enjoyable.
