MoreFloyd 7th Jan 2023		Vinyl Album Electric Guitars - Rock 'N' Roll Radio	The correct primary Label for this one should be "Mighty Music" with "Target" as the secondary Label. From Mighty Music's website (https://mightymusic.dk/about/) "In 2003 the tag-team behind Mighty Music established Target Group – www.targetgroup.dk, which today is the mother company with main office in Copenhagen, Denmark." The company Target Group has two record labels Mighty Music and Target Records both of which have this album listed in their respective 2017 releases. If there are no objections I will ask for a correction.

Strong's "The Great Metal Discography" give a release date of September, 1978 with Wikipedia giving a release date of October, 1978. Even more bizarrely "The Saints" official website states that the album was recorded in London in 1979!

MoreFloyd 12th Jul 2022		CD Album Graham Bonnet - The Rock Singer's Anthology	I'm fairly sure that this is a counterfeit / pirate copy (I can't think of any reason why Vertigo / PolyGram would re-release this compilation 21 years later in the CDR format). The release date for this entry is taken from the CDR manufacturing date but could be slightly earlier or later. This release is identical to the original here except the CDR has "Made In Germany" instead of "Made In W. Germany" and the "Compact Disc Digital Audio" logo is missing.

MoreFloyd 6th Apr 2022		CD Album Madonna - The Immaculate Collection	Hi Jasper, Sorry if I have opened up a can of worms! I have the original 1990 edition of this, and was hoping to enter it this weekend. If the 1993 release is just another repress (and doesn't require it's own listing), then shouldn't this entry have the Date changed to 1990 (as this is the original date that this cat# / barcode combination was used), the Format changed back to CD Album and I upload the original album cover for the "Front Cover" image, moving the "Collectors Edition" image into the block of images below. At the moment Madonna's discography shows that "The Immaculate Collection" wasn't released / manufactured in Australia until 1993. Who would of thought a "numbered collectors edition" would become more common than the original release, especially of a major artists Greatest Hits package!

MoreFloyd 24th Mar 2022		CD Album Guns N' Roses - "The Spaghetti Incident?"	I suspect this release on Geffen's budget label "Geffen Goldline" (which began in 1996), is a 1997-98 release. Neil Young's album "Landing On Water" here released July 1996 has a Geffen Goldline flyer that shows Guns N' Roses earlier albums having been newly added to the mid price bracket but no mention of "The Spaghetti Incident?". Although the CD images and the back of the inlay card clearly show 1986, this CD was definitely not released prior to 1987.

MoreFloyd 31st Jan 2021		CD Album Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin III	I can't give an exact date of release for this CD but I suspect it is somewhere between 1990 and 1993. I think the 10 digit catalogue numbers were introduced by Atlantic in the early 90's and Remastered versions of this album were available from 1994 onwards. Interestingly the CD I think may have been pressed in 1987/88 with "Record Service GmbH" being renamed "Record Service" and becoming part of "TELDEC Record Service GmbH" in May of 1988. This CD has no SID Codes. Does anyone know of a definitive date for when Atlantic (or possibly Warner) began using the 10 digit barcode style catalogue numbers?

I have omitted page 10 of the booklet as it is blank. The black inner and outer circles on the CD image are artifacts of the scanning process and are not present on the disc.

MoreFloyd 3rd Jan 2021		Vinyl Album Yusuf / Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman 2	Hi PhilMH, as this album is a new recording of the original album (altered lyrics, artwork and music) would Island Records only be present on the labels due to the fact the new album is a variant of the original, Island released album? A bit more "googling" around the net seems to bring up a rather mixed bag of results. Amazon and JB HiFi list UMC as label Wikipedia list "Cat-O-Log / Island" (UK / Europe) & "Cat-O-Log / A&M" (US / Canada) Walmart list A&M Discogs has "Island / Cat-O-Log / UMC" When it comes to record companies, labels, distributors, marketing etc... I'm afraid I am still on training wheels. That said maybe "Cat-O-Log" as main label with "Island (or A&M for U.S. releases)" & "UMC" as secondaries would be more consistent with Yusuf (Cat Stevens) more recent releases.
