I believe it was covered. I have a bunch of old advertising for the venue and band schedules. I’m pretty sure one photo shows an inner dance space and stage and an outer perimeter with with lounge furniture, plants and foliage. I’ll have to dig that stuff out and post it

Leader Bill Carlson made his way to Milwaukee from Kansas early in life. The Wisconsin Roof, operated by George Devine was a popular downtown Milwaukee destination for young dancers. My first memories of Bill Carlson was as a TV weatherman on WTMJ Milwaukee. In the middle of his forecast, he would walk to a table and pick up a cup of Butternut coffee and sell the product. One day the stage crew glued the cup to the table…
