Thought I’d be the first to add one by this group, as he was reasonably popular in this era. (The 45 side already has a few entries)
By 1940, most bands had jumped on the Swing bandwagon (even Shep Fields, for cripes sake). Outside of the leader’s solo violin , it features mostly section work, kind of like Larry Clinton.
The top side might almost be confused for an Eddie South record- (I said “almost”)
As for side B, I have friends who have spent far too much time there.
