Mary Hartline was a big deal in the early days of Chicago television. A former model and excellent self promoter , she landed a kid’s show “Super Circus” that ran in the upper Midwest 1949-55. The show was very popular with children, and Dad didn’t mind joining the fun. Her musical ability was negligible, but she was always seen on the show directing an orchestra, or at least waving a baton enthusiastically. Johnny Hill sings on this one.
Mary also had her share of merchandise usually featuring her likeness, including puppets and the above doll.. “By Ideal!”
