Bamboo 19th May 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Property Of Herr Carl Reich - Record Made By A Captive Nightingale (1910) | Very good - thank you very much JLC135.
I have the next two bird records that Herr Carl Reich's property recorded to upload, so it is very good to have definitive confirmation of how to express the artist.

Bamboo 19th May 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Property Of Herr Carl Reich - Record Made By A Captive Nightingale (1910) | Moderators:
Should the artist be shown simply as 'Herr Carl Reich' - without 'The property of' ?
Bamboo 19th May 2020 | | 78 RPMMr. Billy Williams - Save A Little One For Me / Meet You One Dark Night (1913) | Is that a date on the labels - for example, on the 'B' side, right hand side, up a little and then a little to the left. Is the date 28.9.09 ?
Bamboo 18th May 2020 | | 78 RPMMr. Billy Williams - Save A Little One For Me / Meet You One Dark Night (1913) | 'A' and 'B' side labels added.
Bamboo 18th May 2020 | | 78 RPMMarlborough Orchestra - Black Bottom / Sunny Swanee (1926) | Moderator: Should this label be amended to 'The Grafton' so it appears with the others ?

So assumed to be 1941.

Bamboo 11th May 2020 | | 78 RPMBerlin Philharmonic Orchestra - Fifth Symphony (Scherzo And Finale, Part I) / Fifth Symphony (Finale, Part II) (1920) | When compared to the previous two records in this set, there are interesting label differences.
For example,
1. The composer, appears as 'Herr Arthur Nikisch' on the previous ones and 'Dr. Arthur Nikisch' on this label.
2. The artist is printed as 'Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra' (capital letters) on this label and 'The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra' (capital letters) on the previous two.
Otherwise, the matrix numbers for 'D 90' and 'D 91' do not directly follow on consecutively.
Bamboo 11th May 2020 | | 78 RPMThe Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra - Fifth Symphony (1920) | 'A' and 'B' side label variations added.
No frame to the 'G.C.L.' printed area.
Bamboo 11th May 2020 | | 78 RPMZonophone Coronation Record - Puzzle Plate Side A / Puzzle Plate Side B (1911) | Moderator: Is the artist and title correctly stated on this record I wonder for 'A' and 'B' sides ?

Bamboo 7th May 2020 | | 78 RPMG. H. Chirgwin - My Fiddle Is My Sweetheart / Jocular Joker (1912) | 'A' and 'B' side label variations added.
Interestingly, the 'B' side title has been altered to include the word 'The' at the beginning.
Bamboo 6th May 2020 | | 78 RPMLa Garde Republicaine - The Whistler And His Dog / In A Clockmaker's Shop (1908) | 'A' and 'B' side label variations added.
Serial Number / Matrix Numbers printed in a different area and a 'Copyright Supervision Stamp' is shown.
Bamboo 6th May 2020 | | 78 RPMMiss Louie Brooks And Mr. Herbert Payne - If You Were The Only Girl In The World / Another Little Drink (1916) | 'A' side label variation added.

Bamboo 3rd May 2020 | | 78 RPM[no artist listed] - Trains (1937) | Now that made me laugh !
Thank you TheJudge.
Bamboo 3rd May 2020 | | 78 RPM[no artist listed] - Trains (1937) | Moderator: Should this really be 'no artist listed' or 'none' in the artist area instead of trains ?
It just seems strange to have trains (which I think they really are) listed as the 'artist'.
On the other hand, if it was recorded duck noises by a duck called 'cyril' perhaps the artist would be stated as 'cyril' ?
Bamboo 29th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMNew Temple Quartette - God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen / Good King Wenceslas (1915) | So, a new version / different performance when compared to the original one.
Thank you very much for clarifying scough.
Bamboo 29th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMNew Temple Quartette - God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen / Good King Wenceslas (1915) | Were these 'electrical re-recordings' completely different 'sessions' (ie. the performer did a new version of the song for the new electrical process) or were the original recordings / performances just copied somehow ?
Bamboo 29th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMJack Lane - The Rest Of The Day's Your Own / Oh, Dear, What Can The Matter Be ? (1915) | Moderator: Please change / correct 'A' side label title to 'The Rest Of The Day's ...'

Bamboo 22nd Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMVarious Artists - Rex Marches On (1939) | Thanks Redpunk - very useful and interesting link too.
Bamboo 22nd Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMVarious Artists - Rex Marches On (1939) | Moderators:
1. Please alter date to 1940.
2. I wasn't sure about how to correctly present the record details onto the page format - so feel free to alter / move around anything.
Bamboo 10th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMBilly Cotton - They Would Wind Him Up And He Would Whistle / In The Quartermaster's Stores (1940) | Side 'A': There seems to be a printing error - the first 'bracket' before 'With Vocal Chorus' and the letter 'W' seem to be incorrectly formed.
Bamboo 10th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMViennese Symphony Orchestra - Liebestraume Nocturne / Les Tresors De Colombine (Air De Ballet) (1928) | 'A' and 'B' side label variations added.
For example, no text at the top of the label and the over-all design is significantly different.
I wonder why ?
Bamboo 10th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMImperial Regimental Band - With Sword And Lance March / Waldmere March (1914) | Very interesting. Thank you very much for your thoughts / research scrough.
Bamboo 8th Apr 2020 | | 78 RPMHarry Wulson - The Nightingale / The Cobbler (1929) | Possible 'A' and 'B' side variants added.
The labels do not appear to have the letters /numbers/ copyrights stamps etc printed onto them. Instead, they are 'kind of' stamped / engraved / etched (extending into the shellac) so you can feel the 'raised and lowered areas' when you run your finger over the labels.
