Irving Sharp - Near You / Livin', Lovin' You
Scans appear to have been taken from my copy. NOT the same label as the North Wilkesboro outfit - THIS Blue Ridge label was based in Roanoke, VA.

Keith Anderson And The Ohio Valley Boys - My Reckless Heart / When Autumn Leaves Are Falling (1956)
I own this record. The B side is actually titled "When Autumn Leaves Are Falling" (credited to Anderson-Ebert). Where does the date of 1956 come from? Thanks!
[Credits and title updated. Thanks! Mod.]

Hardin Bros. Quartette - O Jerusalem Fair / I'll Leave My Troubles Here Below (1950)
Most definitely NOT the Stanley Brothers, a completely different quartet made up of four brothers from Carter County, Tennessee.

Turner Bros. (Red And Lige) - The Fallen Tree Waltz / Boog-Boog-Boogie (1949)
slholzer, could you check the Ruppli Imperial discography if it lists matrixes for Imperial 8076? That should also be a Turner Brothers release.

The Pennington Bros. - The Old Cross Road / Travelin' Shoes
Thanks Ron, I had Al Turner send me a transfer of this and indeed it falls within my parameters of a Blue Grass-related record! I am very happy to find a new record I never heard of!

Ron (or anyone else owning this), is this a Blue Grass record?

Ray Anderson And Band - The World Lost A Star / Flirtin (1954)
Is there evidence for a 1954 release date? Does 1953 not seem more likely (because of the HW dedication)?
Also, evidently NOT recorded at WCHO. The label even states WHTN, which is the station Ray Anderson was working on from 1951 to 1954. He only started working at WCHO after moving to Washington Court House, OH sometime in (ca. late?) 1954 - and this record clearly predates that move.

Dewey Price And The Blue Ridge Mountain Boys - Air Mail Special On The Fly / Sold Down The River (1947)
Mike Gann, thanks for the link, but I generally do not go by Praguefrank's assumptions.
The personnel he listed is infered from publications dating ca. 5/6 months before this session took place, where Price is listed as member of Jimmy McAbee's Lazy River Boys - clearly a different band. There is absolutely no evidence in those publications to substantiate that these are the same musicians.
Our only hope to come up with accurate names would be to find an early 1947 publication where Price's Blue Ridge Mountain Boys are listed, or that someone (a fan or relative) might have a band picture or recall who they were. If "Blue Ridge Mountain Boys" is just a name for session musicians, chances are we'll never know who they were for sure.

I have been compiling a complete discography of Blue Grass singles, and I want it to be as accurate as humanly possible.

Leon Beaver And His Kennedy Cowboys - Don't Blame My Dreams / It's Up To You (1949)
xiphophilos: Rich-R-Tone reputedly did NOT release records in numerical sequence, especially in the 400 series. Release dates are all over the place. Let me give you just one of an enormous number of examples:

RRT 409 by Buffalo Johnson was released (according to the pressing plant files) 1947/12/29 - Billboard puts it in the 1948/08/07 Advance Record Releases section. Was it held back? Did Billboard just receive the information later?
Then, we look back one number at 408 - the plant files show a release date of 1949/07/12!!
So yeah...there's enough to confuse even the brightest scholar.

Quite irritating for someone who, like yours truly, has spent some 9-10 years working on the best possible approximation of a Rich-R-Tone discography ;)
