Dave Brubeck Trio - Laura / Indiana (1949)
djhotwax, I merged your entry with this existing one. The labels on yours are a bit different, however, so it's good to have those as well.

El Brendel - Yumpin' Yiminy / Pinch Of Snoose (1950)
Listening to Yumpin' Yiminy brought back a vague childhood memory of having seen El Brendel's Swedish persona, although I'm not sure if it was from a film or a later TV appearance.
There's some information about these recordings here at this excellent site dedicated to this comedian.

Added scans of my copy which credits the artist as just Charlie Aldrich, and omits the composer credit for Phil Tuminello.

Ah, I see what you did there, xiphophilos - yes, that makes more sense. That is an unusual name that they chose for themselves.

Quatuor "In Cimbalis Bene Sonantibus" - Largo (1re Partie) / Largo (2e Partie)
Speculating here, but Haydn did compose a number of choral works based on psalms, and the title "In Cimbalis Bene Sonantibus" would seem to come from psalm 150:5. That would explain this work being released on a label for sacred music, although it's been arranged for string quartet.
Can't confirm this theory though, as I'm not aware that he composed music for that particular psalm. I've got a catalogue of his compositions somewhere, I'll have another look.

I'm presuming that this is a USA release, as I could find no information about the artists or label.

Ozie Waters (The Colorado Ranger) And The Colorado Hillbillies - Tie A Saddle String Around Your Troubles / Dry Your Eyes (1945)
I have a release of these sides on the Coast label "Rodeo Series", also numbered 2002, which I will post when I can retrieve it. slholzer, you are correct about the B side composers, and the A side composers on my copy are Waters and Johnson.

The Johnny Creach Trio - Danny Boy / It's You In My Heart (1951)
The first Dootone release, and "Papa John" Creach's first recording under his own name, if I'm not mistaken.

Spike Jones And His City Slickers - William Tell Overture / By The Beautiful Sea (1948)
From what I can gather, some folks were convinced that By The Beautiful Sea contained some off-color lyrics, and as a result this b-side was quickly replaced with The Man On The Flying Trapeze. As I listen to it, I must admit to being mystified as to what they thought they heard.

Dick Winslow - Let's Play Jack And Jill / The Old Water Wheel
The husband and wife team of Dick Winslow on piano and Alice Tyrell (usually spelled Tyrrell) on vocals was a popular nightclub act, and active from 1947-1953 if not longer.

Buddy Greco And His Three Sharps - Ooh! Look-a There, Ain't She Pretty / Don't You Think I Ought To Know (1947)
(From a Sunday Express interview) Buddy said this about his initial release:
“When I finally made my first record Oh Look-A-There Ain’t She Pretty at the age of 17, it sold over a million copies. I thought I would buy my parents a house with the royalty cheque but when it arrived it was only $33. The company president had taken the money and run.”

Lillian Long - The Peddle Song / Little Lass Round-Up
The (parent) Superb label was active from mid-1949 through 1950, so that suggests when this record may have been released. There is a Gayety label mentioned in Billboard, March 3 1951, but I'm not sure if it's this one.

Sonny Thompson With The Sharps And Flats - Long Gone (Part I) / Long Gone (Part II) (1948)
The May 15 Billboard article describes the 'counterfeits' allegedly distributed by Millner thusly: "bogus copies of Long Gone carry an orangish-red background with smeary printing, while the legal copies carry clear printing in a deep maroon backing".
I would be interested in seeing one of these counterfeit pressings, if any are still around...

The Five Hollywood Blue Jays - So Worried / Cloudy And Raining (1952)
There was a later Hollywood Bluejays release (I Had A Love/Tell Me You Love Me on Recorded In Hollywood 396), but that was actually by the Debonairs, featuring Cornel Gunter. This seems to be a different group, personnel unknown. Apparently RIH owner John Dolphin just recycled the group name.
Release date estimated, could be early 1952.

Stan Williams - Hair Of Gold / Come Back To Sorento (1948)
A bit frustrating trying to find information about this bandleader named Stan Williams. Perhaps he's the same one who led Stan Williams and his Blue Marines, a Canadian WWII-era band?

Skylarks - Dream Away / My Own True Love
These Skylarks do sound like the same ones who recorded "I Had The Craziest Dream" on RCA Victor (a white male/female mixed vocal group), so I grouped them together. I could find no information about this release, though. Probably 1948 or 1949.

Bertha "Chippie" Hill - Trouble In Mind / How Long Blues (1946)
It appears that these sides were included in a 2-disc Circle album, along with J-1004 (Careless Love/Charleston Blues). The discs might also have been sold separately, not sure.
