rhythmdog 1st Mar 2023		78 RPM The Velvetones [40s] - I'm Gettin' Used To Love Again / Singing River (1946)	Rare enough no images seem to exist, and per Marv Goldberg, no one he knows has ever seen a copy. However, it did get reviews in both Cash Box (who liked the sides) and in Billboard, who absolutely hated them. Perhaps the lousy Billboard review led to Coronet not pressing any more or very few.

As always, I hope those better versed than I am at dating the majors will manage to find a true release date.

As best as I can determine, it is a portion of that, likely about the second half of that recording, maybe. Or "expurgated" portions? Given the amount of time a 78 can hold, the full 15 minutes might be on a 10" 33 1/3 LP, I would guess.

rhythmdog 11th Sep 2022		78 RPM [no artist listed] - [no Title Shown] / The Stenographer	This is a "party record". The A side is about a couple having difficulties "getting it in". The B side is a poetic ditty about the working life of a young "stenographer" named "Sally Brown", which manages to use the majority of the seven words George Carlin said could not be used on radio.
rhythmdog 11th Sep 2022		78 RPM [no artist listed] - Grand Crepitation [Farting] Contest, Part 3 and 4	This is a "party record" which describes a "sporting event" held at "Maple Leaf Pavilion" in "Saint Sebastian". A farting competition with sportscasters describing the action and of course fart noises. All very adult. The flip side is a continuation of the A side.
rhythmdog 10th Sep 2022		78 RPM The Meadowlarks [RPM] - L F M S T Blues (Lord Find My Sweet Teresa) / Pass The Gin (1954)	LFMST Blues is a take-off on a then-popular advertising slogan for Lucky Strike cigarettes: "LSMFT! Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco! LSMFT!" This record seems to be rare in either 78 or 45 format. An image of the A side is visible here.
