Symphony Orchestra - Symphony No. 6 In B Minor (Pathétique) (1927)
This disc, from the mid-twenties, pre-dates the later convention of putting side numbers on the disc labels - normally 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 etc. Things got a little more complicated when autochangers came into being, and album sets were then also issued sequenced for stacked play - e.g. 1-6, 2-5, 3-4.etc

Whyperion - I think if the Work title e.g. "Symphony no.4 (etc)" is entered in the main disc title field, the descriptions of the individual sides then make more sense.

The B.B.C. Symphony Orchestra - The Planets Suite, Op. 32. Records 10, 11. (1945)
I think this is already on the system here, with label scans and information to identify the disc as part of an "album" set. [Merged. mod]

Miss Gertrude Gibson And Miss Mary Evans - Kathleen Mavourneen / Nocturne (1910)
While I'm not a mod, I can assure you this is a UK issue. In the very early 20th Century, many UK-issued discs were manufactured in Germany. Quite simply, there was plant there to do it, though eventually UK shellac disc manufacturing became more widespread, even before WW1 closed off that source..

Feodor Chaliapin - Twofold Litany "Glory To Thee, Oh Lord" / The Creed (1932)
This disc is from a collection which included a number of discs purchased in Geneva, and had a German and French language bias. There were no discs I've been able to find in it from the Scandinavian countries.

Feodor Chaliapin - Twofold Litany "Glory To Thee, Oh Lord" / The Creed (1932)
I've been possibly overcautious here. Entered as "unknown country" on the basis of label layout, representation of catalogue number etc. This may well just be an export issue that didn't fall into a neat category. Recorded 1932 in Paris, also issued on Victor Red Seal (7715). That USA cat# is quoted rather than the 32-2837/32-2863 recording reference more normally quoted on the label.

This, like all in a batch with T cat# prefix I'm adding, has the legend "Edition: Pro Musica, Paris" printed on the label above the disc centre-hole. Scans now added.

Members Of "La Musique Intime" - Was Qualet (What Ails Thee) / Trocknet Euch (Dry Your Tears)
Sleeves long gone - discs were housed in a proprietary storage system as described on the forum. I have probably about as much chance of matching up with some original sleeves as I have of pairing up some Brazilian sleeves I have with original issues.....

Thank you JLC135. As the content was classical I did not think to check the M.G. Thomas website as thought it might be out of that site's scope. Mods: please change to "Treasury... " label designation if more appropriate..

Mitglieder Des Orchesters Der Staatsoper, Berlin - Divertimento No. 6 (K.V.188) 1 Für 2 Flöten, 5 Trompeten Und 4 Pauken (1932)
Entered as UK 10" though export issue equally likely given the German label text and purchase sticker from a Swiss retailer.

Thank you for the decision, though I'm still seeing both versions as separate entities. I have more to add which I'll put under "Gramophone".

One of a couple on this label I've acquired. Entered as "E.M.G. Handmade Gramophone Ltd" rather then the Series name to the top of the label. No info found online to shellacs, just the activity the company name suggests.

On adding some issues of this label, I see it's represented two ways here - plain "Gramophone" and also as Disque "Gramophone". Duplication?

Carroll Gibbons And The Savoy Hotel Orpheans - Our Love Affair / Ridin' High (1941)
The only shop business model I could see working for 78s is something like the bonkers bookshop I discovered fairly locally. Location: what looks like a former furniture store in on-its-knees urban shopping centre probably kept open solely by the rent for the supermarket the forms part of the centre. Probably a pretty very low rent. Presentation. shelves round the outside walls with much of the rest of the inside taken up by stacks of semi-sorted boxes. Prices low, opening hours long - run (I think) by a family.

Some rural town could try and start up the Hay-on-Wye of 78s, perhaps?

[no artist listed] - Im ¾ Takt Durchs Tessin / Monica
Early 1930s Telefunken issue - on the basis of cat#. Can anyone date more accurately?. Also I'm not sure I've interpreted the label information correctly.

Possibly the artist is Bandonium - this disc comes from a collection of accordion music 78s. I was thinking bandonium referred to the bandoneon accordion when entering this release so didn't enter artist information. The label description translates - as far as I'm aware - to "Bandonium with piano accompaniment".
