Benny Goodman - Swing Music 1939 Series (1939)
For what it's worth, there is a picture online of a B 8879
label with NCB logo and "manufactured for" text. It seems to have similar label layout to the unidentified variant label (excluding rights/publisher symbols) but different typography for the label text.

Glenn Miller - Moonlight Serenade / American Patrol (1946)
Added RT tax code issue. with what I took at first to be a side 2 label variant - Miller credit as composer rather than the Jerry Gray arranger credit. However, looking at label matrix number, it seems this copy had two side 1 labels, hence the overstickering.

Quentin M. Maclean - Casse Noisette Suite (1937)
Scans added - last of the red label columbia in the pile for Mr Maclean.. Onto the navy labels now to add and scan. I bought a lot a while back that must have been owned by a cinema organ and, in particular, Quentin M. Maclean fan. Not forgetting the organ of the Trocadero Cinema, Elephant & Castle in South London - apparently transplanted to the Troxy in Stepney when the Trocadero was demolished, and which has now been restored to playing order.

Frank Munn - Silver Threads Among The Gold / Dear Little Mother O' Mine (1933)
No need for "a nod to.." - rescans of my originals with same scanner but much-improved scanner software. Please promote and hide old ones.

Thinking about it, will replace by "edit image" in future where I have submitted the only scans and they're terrible for scanner reasons, unless advised otherwise. There are quite a few......

Ernest Hare - Santa Claus Hides In The Phonograph / Santa Claus Will Soon Be Here
Christmas was only a couple of days ago in the Julian calendar, though Santa Claus was very likely not involved, never mind the phonograph....

Clifton College - O What Their Joy And Their Glory Must Be / O What Their Joy And Their Glory Must Be
One of a trio of test or private pressings by the same company picked up in a mixed lot. This 12" 78 looks OK - unlike a 10" LP and a 12" LP:with 78 rpm overprinted to 33 1/3. Both of those seem to have been played as if shellac.

Κώστας Γκαντίνης - Κανάρια (Kanaria) / Τσακιτζής (Tsakitzis)
Correction requested for artist name - a good rule of thumb is to leave non-roman text blank iand leave requests in comment for someone else to fill it in..

Paul Laval And His Woodwindy Ten - Lady Of The Evening / Body And Soul (1941)
Label scans uploaded. Side 1 banded - 1 shorter track, one longer in rough proportion 1 to 3.5. Can't confirm but may be prefaced by the "Comments by Dr. Gino Hamilton". Similar "comments by" noted on N.4459 (Farewell Blues/Chlo-e) seen on discogs.

The Band Of The Ceylon Light Infantry - Namo Namo Matha / Namo Namo Matha
I'd suggest this record should be listed under His Master's Voice India - it does say "made in India" - and perhaps as an export issue. [edit ] A quick google brought up a facebook page of text about His Master's Voice with a regional slant - text was taken (without credit) from this page about His Masters Voice India.
[edit ends]

Wikipedia suggests side 1 was not adopted as the official national anthem for Ceylon (as was, Sri Lank as is) until 1952 and was retitled in the late 1950s. [edit]A presumably earlier version crediting the composer Ananda Samarakoon & Swarna de Silva was issued on WN.11 [edit ends]

The Band Of H.M. Coldstream Guards - God Save The King / God BlessThe Prince Of Wales (1928)
Scans added of rather tatty labels - heavily-stickered "Stickered" doesn't quite describe it as what been added seems to be masking tape, handwritten. Given that one side says "King" can anyone possibly guess what the other handwritten label said before I prised it off? It's not difficult to do...

Came to me in an Egyptian sleeve, though patently not a release from or for that country.

Sol Hoopii's Novelty Trio - St. Louis Blues / 12th Street Rag (1936)
My dulling-down scanner's at it again - even with a bit of titivation the colour's none too realistic. I rarely have the same problem with a mobile camera,. As this disc has an embossed T code next to the spindle and a pasted-on DT label would I be right in assuming this copy was made in 1940 or later and then sold after 15/4/1942? I've added an original release date on the basis of adjacent cat#s - mods please correct if that's not right. The original recording dates go back quite a bit further, I think.

Mr. Harry Champion - Down Came The Blind / Never Let Your Braces Dangle (1910)
Apologies for the truly dreadful image of a badly deteriorated side 1 label. From camera and the best I was able to do. Side 2 label in much better shape. 1910? I know the sides were released by a number of different companies.
